3.1 Connecting the Barcode Reader

3.2 Optional Cable Types

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Basic Barcode Scanning
- Ensure the barcode reader is properly connected to your computer or host device.
- Open a text editor, spreadsheet, or any application where you want the scanned data to appear.
- Point the scanner at the barcode you wish to read.
- Press the trigger button on the scanner. A successful scan will typically result in a beep and the barcode data appearing in your active application.

4.2 Scanning from LCD Screens
The BC-BR1000U-B is capable of reading barcodes displayed on LCD screens. For optimal results, ensure the screen brightness is adequate and there are no protective films or damage that might interfere with scanning.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
- Regularly clean the scanner window with a soft, lint-free cloth.
- For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Do not spray cleaning solutions directly onto the scanner.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could scratch the scanner window or housing.
5.2 Storage
When not in use, store the barcode reader in a clean, dry environment away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.

6.1 Scanner Not Reading Barcodes
- Check Connection: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the scanner and the host device.

- Barcode Quality: Ensure the barcode is clear, not smudged, torn, or excessively reflective.

- LCD Screen Brightness: If scanning from a screen, increase the screen brightness.

6.2 No Data Output
