3.3 Display Indicators
The LCD color screen displays the following parameters:
- PM2.5: Particulate Matter 2.5 micrometers (µg/m³)
- HCHO: Formaldehyde (µg/m³)
- TVOC: Total Volatile Organic Compounds (µg/m³)
- CO2: Carbon Dioxide (ppm)
- Temperature: (°C or °F)
- Humidity: (%)
- Battery Level Indicator
The screen color changes to indicate different air quality levels:
- Green: Excellent air quality
- Yellow: Light pollution
- Orange: Moderate pollution
- Red: Heavy pollution
4. Setup
4.1 Initial Charging
- Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the charging port on the device.
- Plug the other end of the USB cable into a compatible 5V DC USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
- Charge the device fully before first use. The battery indicator on the display will show charging status. A full charge typically takes a few hours.
4.2 Placement
Place the air quality monitor in the area where you wish to measure air quality. Ensure it is on a stable surface and not obstructed by objects that could block airflow to the sensors. Avoid placing it near windows, air vents, or direct heat sources for accurate readings.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the power button (location may vary, typically on the side or top) for a few seconds until the display lights up.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the power button again until the display turns off.
5.2 Initial Calibration
Upon first power-on or after a long period of inactivity, the device may require a short calibration period. During this time, the readings may fluctuate. Place the device in a well-ventilated area for approximately 5-10 minutes to allow the sensors to stabilize.
5.3 Reading Air Quality Data
Once powered on and calibrated, the device will continuously display real-time readings for CO2, PM2.5, TVOC, HCHO, Temperature, and Humidity on its LCD screen. The background color of the display will change according to the overall air quality level detected.
5.4 Audible Alarm
The monitor is equipped with an audible alarm that activates when pollutant levels exceed predefined safe limits. Refer to the display color changes for visual alerts.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
Wipe the device gently with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or immerse the device in water.
6.2 Battery Care
To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the device frequently. Recharge the device when the battery indicator shows low power. If storing for an extended period, charge the device to approximately 50% and recharge every few months.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Device does not power on | Low battery; Device not charged | Charge the device using the USB Type-C cable. |
| Inaccurate readings | Device not calibrated; Obstruction of sensors; Extreme environmental conditions | Place the device in a well-ventilated area for 5-10 minutes for calibration. Ensure sensors are clear. Avoid extreme temperatures or humidity. |
| Display is blank or frozen | Software error; Low battery | Try restarting the device. If the issue persists, charge the device. |
| Audible alarm sounds frequently | High pollutant levels detected | Ventilate the area. Check for sources of pollution. |
