3. Setup

3.1 Power Supply

The E30 II operates on a DC 5V power supply. It can be powered via a PC's USB port, a mobile phone charger, or a power bank. A built-in protection circuit safeguards the unit from incorrect power connections.

3.2 Connecting Audio Sources

The E30 II offers multiple input options for connecting various audio sources:

USB Input: Connect your PC, MAC, Linux, iOS, or Android device using the provided USB cable. Windows 10/11 users may not require additional driver installation.
Coaxial Input: Supports up to 24bit/192kHz audio, suitable for digital turntables, disk players, set-top boxes, and game consoles.
Optical (TOSLINK) Input: Also supports up to 24bit/192kHz audio, ideal for similar digital audio sources.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off and Input Selection

The E30 II can be powered on by pressing the power button on the front panel or using the remote control. Use the 'SEL' button on the unit or the input selection buttons on the remote to switch between USB, Coaxial, and Optical inputs.

4.2 Pure DAC & DAC+Preamp Application

The E30 II can function as a pure DAC, fixing its output to the maximum level for direct connection to an amplifier. Alternatively, it can operate as a DAC+Preamp, allowing volume control from -99dB to 0dB via the remote control, enabling direct connection to power amplifiers or active speakers.

4.3 DAC Filter Modes

The E30 II offers 6 filter modes for PCM decoding and 2 filter modes for DSD decoding, allowing subtle adjustments to the sound characteristics. These can be accessed and changed via the setup menu.

4.4 Automatic On/Off Function

The E30 II features an auto on/off function. It will automatically turn on when a valid signal is detected. If no valid signal is received for 1 minute, the E30 II will automatically turn off.

Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using liquid cleaners or aerosols.

6. Troubleshooting

Phenomenon	Solution
Noisy playback	Try with other songs. The specifications of songs are not supported by this unit. If the noise appears only when playing DSD files, please check and adjust the computer system volume, music player volume and driver volume to the maximum. Check to see if the problem is with the source, downstream equipment and cables. If the noise disappears after unplugging the USB cable, it may be interference from the source. You could try to add a USB isolation between this unit and the source.
One channel with noise/no output	Check to see if the problem is with the source, downstream equipment and cables. You can try swapping the left and right channel connections and try with another source.
Channel imbalance	Check to see if the problem is with the source, downstream equipment and cables. You can try swapping the left and right channel connections and try with another source.
The connected USB device does not recognize this unit	USB cable did not connect properly. Please check or change the cable. Try with another USB port. Driver problem. Try to reinstall the driver. May be caused by the PC. Check or try with another PC. Some phones require OTG function to be enabled first.
Remote control not responding	Enable remote control function in the setup menu first. Try to insert two fresh AAA batteries. Please aim at the remote control receiver. Bring the remote control close to the device. Use your Android phone's camera to look at the transmitter at the top of the remote, if it doesn't blink when you press the remote button, the remote is defective. If you have more than one Topping device, check that you are using the correct remote control.
