3. Installation Guide

Follow these general steps to install your Timetec DDR5 SODIMM module. Specific steps may vary by laptop model.

  1. Prepare Your Laptop: Shut down your laptop completely, disconnect the power adapter, and remove the battery (if removable).
  2. Access Memory Slots: Carefully open the laptop's back panel or memory compartment cover. Consult your laptop's manual for precise instructions on how to access the memory slots.
  3. Remove Existing Module (if applicable): If replacing an existing module, gently push apart the small clips on either side of the RAM stick. The module will pop up at an angle. You can then pull it out from the slot.
  4. Install New Module: Align the notch on the Timetec DDR5 SODIMM module with the key in the memory slot. Insert the module at a 45-degree angle, applying firm but gentle pressure until it is fully seated.
  5. Secure the Module: Push the module down until the clips on both sides snap into place, securing the RAM horizontally.
  6. Reassemble: Replace the memory compartment cover or back panel, reconnect the battery, and plug in the power adapter.
