Setup
- Battery Installation: The PIE1059 requires 8 AA alkaline batteries (not included). Open the battery compartment located at the bottom of the camera. Insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Micro SD Card Installation: A micro SD card (4 GB to 32 GB, Class 10 minimum) is required (not included). Locate the SD card slot inside the camera. Insert the micro SD card until it clicks into place.
- Mounting: The camera is designed for tree mounting. Use the included strap or a compatible mounting accessory to secure the camera firmly to a tree or pole. Ensure the camera is stable and pointed towards the desired monitoring area.
- Initial Power On: Slide the power switch from 'OFF' to 'SET' to enter setup mode. The internal screen will activate, allowing you to configure settings.
Operating Instructions
Power Modes
- OFF: Camera is powered off.
- SET: Configuration mode. Use this mode to adjust settings, view captured media, and format the SD card.
- ON: Active monitoring mode. The camera will capture photos/videos based on your settings when motion is detected.
Menu Navigation
Use the control buttons (usually labeled MENU, UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, OK) to navigate through the settings menu on the internal screen. Press 'MENU' to access the main menu, use arrow keys to select options, and 'OK' to confirm.
