3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the ice maker from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage. Remove all packing materials, including any tape or protective films.

3.2 Placement

Place the ice maker on a flat, stable, and level surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit, leaving at least 4 inches of space from walls or other appliances to allow for proper heat dissipation.

3.3 Initial Cleaning

Before first use, it is recommended to clean the ice maker. Use the self-cleaning function as described in the Maintenance section (Section 5.2). After the self-cleaning cycle, drain any remaining water and wipe the interior with a soft, damp cloth. Ensure the unit is completely dry before adding water for ice production.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Adding Water

  1. Open the top lid of the ice maker.
  2. Remove the ice basket.
  3. Fill the water reservoir with clean, potable water up to the MAX water level mark. Do not overfill.
  4. Place the ice basket back into position and close the top lid.

4.2 Powering On and Ice Production

  1. Plug the ice maker into a grounded electrical outlet.
  2. Press the "ON/OFF" button on the control panel to turn on the unit. The ice production cycle will begin automatically.
  3. The first batch of ice cubes will be ready in approximately 6 minutes. Subsequent batches may be faster as the internal temperature stabilizes.

4.3 Selecting Ice Size

Press the "SELECT" button on the control panel to toggle between small and large ice cube sizes. The selected size will be indicated on the display. Larger cubes are generally produced at lower water temperatures.

4.4 Ice Full and Low Water Indicators

  • The ice maker is equipped with infrared sensors that detect when the ice basket is full. When full, the unit will automatically pause ice production. The "ICE FULL" indicator light will illuminate. Once ice is removed, production will resume.
  • If the water level in the reservoir is too low, the "ADD WATER" indicator light will illuminate, and the unit will pause. Refill the water reservoir to resume ice production.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Regular Cleaning

To ensure optimal performance and hygiene, clean your ice maker regularly. Unplug the unit before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. For the interior, use a mild detergent and warm water, then rinse thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

5.2 Self-Cleaning Function

The self-cleaning function helps to deep clean the internal components. To activate:

  1. Ensure the water reservoir is filled to the MAX level.
  2. Press and hold the "TIMER/CLEAN" button for 3-5 seconds. The self-cleaning cycle will begin, typically lasting about 20 minutes.
  3. Once the cycle is complete, drain the water from the unit by removing the drain plug located at the bottom or side (refer to your specific model's diagram for exact location).
  4. Rinse the reservoir with clean water and drain again.

5.3 Storage

If the ice maker will not be used for an extended period, perform a self-cleaning cycle, drain all water, and thoroughly dry the interior and exterior. Store the unit in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Leave the lid slightly ajar to prevent mildew and odors.
