Maintenance
Battery Replacement
- The main alarm hub includes a Lithium metal battery backup, providing up to 8 hours of operation during a power outage. Ensure the hub is connected to its power adapter for continuous charging and primary power.
- Window/door sensors are battery-powered. The Smart Life app will notify you when a sensor's battery is low. Replace batteries promptly to ensure uninterrupted protection. Refer to the sensor's compartment for battery type.
Cleaning
To maintain the appearance and functionality of your alarm system components, wipe them with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or liquid sprays directly on the devices.
Troubleshooting
- Alarm Hub Not Connecting to Wi-Fi:
Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The system does not support 5GHz networks. Verify that your smartphone is connected to the 2.4GHz network during setup. Check the Wi-Fi signal strength at the hub's location. - False Alarms:
Verify that all sensors are securely attached and correctly aligned, with the two parts within 1.5 cm of each other when closed. Check for environmental factors such as strong vibrations or drafts that might inadvertently trigger sensors. - No App Notifications:
Confirm that the Smart Life app has permission to send notifications on your smartphone. Check your smartphone's internet connectivity. Ensure the alarm hub is connected to Wi-Fi. - Voice Control Not Working:
Verify that the AGSHOME skill/action is enabled and linked to your Smart Life account in your Amazon Alexa or Google Home app. Ensure your voice assistant device is online and properly configured. - Siren Not Activating:
Check if the system is in an armed mode (HOME or AWAY). Ensure the alarm hub is powered on and connected to Wi-Fi.
