1. Important Safety Information

  • Eye Protection: Always wear ANSI Z87.1 compliant safety glasses with side shields when operating or performing maintenance on the stapler.

  • Air Pressure: Never exceed the maximum recommended air pressure of 120 PSI. Operate within the recommended range of 70-110 PSI.
  • Disconnect Air Supply: Always disconnect the air supply before loading staples, clearing jams, performing maintenance, or when the tool is not in use.
  • Proper Staples: Use only T50 staples of the correct gauge (20 Gauge) and length specified for this tool. Do not use brad nails.
  • Work Area: Keep the work area clean and well-lit. Keep bystanders, especially children, away from the operating area.
  • Contact Safety: This tool features a contact safety mechanism. Ensure the contact safety is fully depressed against the workpiece before pulling the trigger to prevent accidental firing.
  • Tool Inspection: Inspect the tool before each use for damaged or missing parts. Do not use a damaged tool.

3. Setup and Loading

3.1 Connecting to Air Supply

  1. Ensure your air compressor is turned off and the air hose is disconnected from the compressor.
  2. Connect a 1/4 inch NPT air fitting to the air inlet of the stapler.
  3. Connect the air hose from your compressor to the stapler's air fitting.
  4. Set your air compressor's regulator to the recommended operating pressure of 70-110 PSI. Do not exceed 120 PSI.
  5. Turn on your air compressor.

3.2 Loading Staples

This stapler uses 20 Gauge T50 staples. It accepts lengths of 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 1/2", 9/16", and 17/32".

  1. Disconnect the air supply from the tool before loading staples.
  2. Press the latch and slide the magazine cover open.
  3. Place the strip of staples into the magazine with the staple points facing down.
  4. Ensure the staples are loaded correctly and seated properly.
  5. Slide the magazine cover closed until it latches securely.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Firing the Stapler

  1. Ensure the air supply is connected and the pressure is set between 70-110 PSI.
  2. Hold the stapler firmly with both hands, if possible, or with a secure grip.
  3. Place the contact safety device firmly against the workpiece where the staple is to be driven.
  4. While maintaining pressure on the contact safety, depress the trigger to fire a staple.
  5. Release the trigger and lift the tool from the workpiece.

4.2 Adjusting Exhaust Direction

The stapler features a 360° rotatable exhaust cover, allowing you to direct the exiting air away from your face and the work surface.

  1. Locate the exhaust cover at the top of the tool.
  2. Rotate the cover to the desired direction to redirect the air flow.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your pneumatic stapler. Always disconnect the air supply before performing any maintenance.

5.1 Clearing Jams

The NEU MASTER stapler features a tool-free jam clearing mechanism.

  1. Disconnect the air supply from the tool.
  2. Open the magazine cover.
  3. Carefully remove any jammed staples or debris from the staple channel. Use pliers if necessary, but avoid bending or damaging internal components.
  4. Close the magazine cover securely.
  5. Reconnect the air supply and test the tool on a scrap piece of material.

5.2 Lubrication

Apply a few drops of pneumatic tool oil into the air inlet before each use or after extended periods of non-use. This lubricates internal components and prevents corrosion.

5.3 Cleaning and Storage

  • Keep the tool clean and free of dust and debris. Use a clean, dry cloth.
  • Store the stapler in its BMC carrying case in a dry, secure location away from children and unauthorized users.
  • Disconnect the air supply and drain any remaining air from the tool before storage.
