3. Installation and Setup

3.1 Package Contents

Before installation, ensure all components are present:

3.2 Compatibility

This specific model (Ewings-nonboost-4-104) is designed for MTB chainrings with a 4-bolt, 104BCD configuration and is compatible with eeWings MTB cranksets. It is a non-boost version.

3.3 Installation Steps

The SIGEYI AXO Potentiometer is a spider-based power meter that installs between your crank arm and chainring. Follow these general steps for installation:

1. Prepare your Crankset: Remove your existing chainring from your compatible eeWings MTB crankset.
2. Attach the Potentiometer: Align the SIGEYI AXO Potentiometer with the bolt holes on your crank arm. Ensure the orientation is correct as per the markings on the device.
3. Mount the Chainring: Attach your 4-bolt, 104BCD chainring to the SIGEYI AXO Potentiometer.
4. Secure Bolts: Use the appropriate chainring bolts to secure the chainring to the potentiometer, and the potentiometer to the crank arm. Tighten to the manufacturer's recommended torque specifications.
5. Reinstall Crankset: Reinstall the crankset onto your bicycle's bottom bracket, following your crankset manufacturer's instructions.

4. Operation

4.1 Pairing with Devices

The SIGEYI AXO Potentiometer supports both ANT+ and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. To pair with your cycling computer, smartphone, or other compatible device:

1. Ensure the potentiometer is awake (rotate the crank a few times).
2. On your cycling computer or app, search for new sensors.
3. Select the SIGEYI AXO from the list of discovered devices.
4. Confirm pairing.

4.2 Zero Reset (Calibration)

The potentiometer features automatic zero reset. For optimal accuracy, it is recommended to perform a manual zero reset before each ride or after significant temperature changes. This can typically be initiated through your paired cycling computer or the SIGEYI App.

• Ensure the bike is stationary and no weight is on the pedals.
• Access the calibration or zero offset function on your paired device.
• Follow the on-screen prompts.

4.3 Data Monitoring

Once paired, your device will display real-time data including power (watts), cadence (RPM), and Left/Right power balance. Consult your cycling computer or app manual for customizing data fields.

5. Charging and Maintenance

5.1 Charging the Battery

The SIGEYI AXO Potentiometer is equipped with a rechargeable battery. Use the provided magnetic charging cable to charge the device. Connect the magnetic end to the charging port on the potentiometer and the USB end to a standard USB power adapter (not included).

• A full charge provides up to 300 hours of operating time.
• Charge indicators (LEDs) on the device will show charging status.

5.2 General Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the potentiometer with a damp cloth after rides, especially after riding in wet or dirty conditions. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use.
• Firmware Updates: Regularly check for and install firmware updates via the SIGEYI App to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.
• Water Resistance: The IP67 rating means the device is protected from dust and can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. However, avoid prolonged submersion or high-pressure water jets.

• No Power Reading:
  • Ensure the battery is charged.
  • Confirm the device is awake (rotate cranks).
  • Check if the device is properly paired with your cycling computer/app.
  • Perform a zero reset.
• Inconsistent Readings:
  • Perform a zero reset.
  • Ensure the installation bolts are tightened to the correct torque.
  • Check for any physical damage or obstruction.
• Connectivity Issues:
  • Ensure Bluetooth/ANT+ is enabled on your receiving device.
  • Move closer to the potentiometer.
