- Electrical Safety: Ensure the pump is connected to a properly grounded outlet. Do not use extension cords if possible. The pump features a 10ft long power cord for extended reach. Electricity and water are a dangerous combination; always exercise extreme caution.
- Submersion: This is a submersible pump. It must be fully submerged in water before operation to prevent dry running and motor damage.
- Thermal Overload Protection: The pump is equipped with built-in automatic thermal overload protection to prevent the motor from burning out due to overheating.
- Manual Mode Only: This pump operates in manual mode only. It does not support automatic start/stop functions. The pump will operate when plugged in and stop when unplugged.
- Water Temperature: Do not use with water temperatures exceeding 95°F (35°C).
- Debris: The pump can handle solids up to 1/5 inch. Avoid pumping larger debris to prevent clogging and damage.

4. Setup and Installation
- Select Appropriate Hose: Choose the correct hose adapter (NPT 1-1/2", NPT 3/4", Φ1-1/2", Φ1", or NPT 1") based on your flow requirements and hose size. Securely attach the hose to the pump's discharge outlet.
- Position the Pump: Place the pump in the water source you intend to drain. Ensure the pump is fully submerged.
- Prime the Pump (Important): Before plugging in, submerge the pump into the water at an angle to allow any trapped air to escape. This helps to prime the pump and ensures efficient operation.
- Connect Power: Plug the 10ft power cord into a properly grounded electrical outlet. The pump will begin operating immediately.

5. Operating Instructions
- Starting the Pump: Once properly set up and submerged, plug the pump into a grounded electrical outlet. The pump will start operating immediately.
- Stopping the Pump: To stop the pump, simply unplug it from the electrical outlet.
- Manual Operation: This pump is designed for manual operation only. It does not have a float switch or automatic on/off functionality. Constant monitoring is required during operation.
- Optimal Performance: For best results, ensure the pump remains fully submerged during operation. The pump is designed to remove water down to 1/5 inch from the surface.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: The pump features a removable bottom for easy cleaning and maintenance. Regularly inspect and clean the intake screen to prevent clogs and ensure optimal performance.
- Storage: When not in use, clean the pump thoroughly and store it in a dry, protected area away from extreme temperatures.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the power cord for any signs of damage. Do not use the pump if the cord is damaged.
