Initial Activation:
The BMS can be activated using one of two methods:
- Press the activation button located on the battery board.
- Connect a charger to the battery pack; the BMS will activate upon receiving a charge current.
The BMS comes with default protection parameters for Li-ion/LiFePO4. However, it is crucial to set the battery pack's actual capacity (AH) in the smart board application. Incorrect capacity settings will lead to inaccurate remaining power percentage readings. Other parameters can also be adjusted as needed. The initial password for the smart board APP to change parameters is 123456.
5. Operating Instructions
The DALY Smart BMS allows for real-time monitoring and parameter adjustment through its dedicated Bluetooth application or PC software.
Using the Bluetooth App / PC Software:
- Connect: Ensure your Bluetooth module or UART/RS485/CAN adapter is correctly connected to the BMS. Pair your smartphone via Bluetooth or connect your PC via the appropriate cable.
- Monitor: The application/software will display real-time battery status, including individual cell voltages, total voltage, current, temperature, and state of charge.
- Adjust Parameters: Access the settings menu to modify various protection parameters, such as overcharge/overdischarge voltage limits, current limits, and temperature thresholds. Remember the default password for parameter changes is 123456.
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check for firmware updates through the application or DALY's official website to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.
