2. Important Safety Information
Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons.
- Read all instructions before using this fireplace.
- This fireplace is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the fireplace.
- Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the fireplace is left operating and unattended.
- Do not operate any fireplace with a damaged cord or plug, or if the heater malfunctions, or if it has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
- Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
- Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the fireplace.
- To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
- This fireplace has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable vapors or liquids are used or stored.
- Use this fireplace only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
- Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).

4. Installation Instructions
The PuraFlame Alice electric fireplace is designed for in-wall recessed installation ONLY. It cannot be hung on a wall or used freestanding. It is specifically designed to fit within a 2 x 6 inch stud wall construction.
4.1 Dimensions and Opening Requirements
Ensure the wall opening meets the following specifications for proper fit and ventilation:
- Overall Fireplace Dimensions (including glass): 36 3/8 inches Width x 20 1/4 inches Height x 5 29/32 inches Depth
- Firebox Dimensions (without glass): 35 inches Width x 18 1/32 inches Height x 5 11/16 inches Depth
- Recommended Wall Opening: Approximately 35 3/16 inches Width x 18 2/5 inches Height x minimum 6 inches Depth.

4.2 Electrical Connections
The unit offers two electrical connection options:
- Plug-in: Simply plug the 110V cord into a standard wall outlet.
- Hard-wiring: For a permanent installation, the unit can be hard-wired into a dedicated 110V circuit. Consult a qualified electrician for hard-wiring procedures.
Ensure the electrical supply matches the voltage requirements of the fireplace (110V).
4.3 Installation Steps (General Guide)
- Prepare the Wall Opening: Construct a framed opening in your wall according to the recommended dimensions (refer to Image 4.1). Ensure the depth is at least 6 inches to accommodate the unit.
- Electrical Wiring: Install a dedicated 110V electrical outlet inside the framed opening, or prepare for hard-wiring as per local electrical codes.
- Insert Fireplace: Carefully slide the fireplace unit into the prepared opening.
- Secure the Unit: Use the provided mounting hardware to secure the fireplace to the wall studs.
- Connect Power: Plug in the unit or complete the hard-wiring connection.
- Install Ember Bed Media: Open the front glass panel (if necessary) and place either the log set or crystal stones onto the ember bed.
5. Operating Instructions
Your PuraFlame Alice fireplace can be operated using the touch screen buttons on the unit or the included remote control.
5.1 Controls
The fireplace features touch-sensitive buttons located on the top panel for basic functions. A remote control provides full functionality.

Remote Control Functions:
- ON/OFF: Powers the unit on or off.
- FLAME: Cycles through 4 flame effects (Yellow with blue low, All yellow, Yellow with blue, All blue).
- HEATER: Selects between 750W (low) and 1500W (high) heat settings.
- TEMPERATURE: Adjusts the thermostat from 60°F to 84°F.
- TIMER: Sets the countdown timer from 0.5 hours to 9 hours.
- FUEL BED: Cycles through 14 fuel bed lighting effects/colors.
5.2 Flame Effects
The fireplace offers four distinct flame settings, which can be operated with or without heat for year-round ambiance.

5.3 Ember Bed Options
Customize the look of your fireplace with either the included log set or crystal stones. The ember bed features 13 colors of LED lighting.

5.4 Heater Function
The fireplace includes an upper front heater blower with two heat settings: 750W (low) and 1500W (high). The thermostat allows you to control the room temperature. A countdown timer can be set from 30 minutes to 9 hours.
Note: This fireplace is designed to provide supplemental heat and should not be used as a primary heat source.

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your electric fireplace.
- Cleaning: Ensure the unit is turned off and unplugged before cleaning. Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the exterior surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners or sprays.

- Light Bulbs: The LED lights are designed for long life and typically do not require replacement.
