1. Introduction

The RELAND SUN Lossless Music Decoder Board is a versatile audio player module designed for integrating into various audio systems. It supports WAV and MP3 audio formats, offering a wide range of compatibility for your music playback needs. 5. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your decoder board:

1. Power Connection: Connect the power wires to the designated 6V-12V DC input terminals on the decoder board. Ensure correct polarity (+ and -) to prevent damage. The board typically has markings for +12V and GND.
2. Audio Output Connection: Connect the audio output wires (LOUT, ROUT, GND) from the decoder board to your amplifier or active speakers.
3. Media Insertion:
   • SD Card: Insert your SD card containing WAV or MP3 files into the SD card slot on the board.
   • USB Drive: Insert your USB flash drive containing WAV or MP3 files into the USB port.
4. Remote Control: Ensure the remote control has batteries installed. The board operates directly upon power-up, and all functions can be controlled via the remote.

6. Operating Instructions

The decoder board begins operation immediately upon receiving power. Use the included remote control to manage playback.

Remote Control Functions:

• Power Button (⏻): Turns the module on or off.
• Mode Button: Switches between different input modes (e.g., USB, SD).
• Play/Pause Button (►⏸): Starts or pauses playback.
• Previous Track (◀◀): Skips to the beginning of the current track or the previous track.
• Next Track (►►): Skips to the next track.
• Volume Down (VOL-): Decreases the audio volume.
• Volume Up (VOL+): Increases the audio volume.
• EQ Button: Cycles through equalizer presets (if available).
• RPT (Repeat) Button: Toggles repeat modes (e.g., repeat one, repeat all, random).
• U/SD Button: Directly switches between USB and SD card input.
• Numeric Buttons (0-9): For direct track selection (if supported by the firmware).

Ensure your audio files are in compatible MP3 or WAV formats. The board will automatically detect and play files from the inserted media.

7. Troubleshooting

• No Power:
  • Check power connections for correct voltage (6-12V DC) and polarity.
  • Ensure the power supply is functional.
• No Sound:
  • Verify audio output connections to your amplifier/speakers.
  • Check the volume level on both the decoder board (via remote) and your amplifier.
  • Ensure the media (USB/SD) contains playable audio files.
• Media Not Recognized / Playback Issues:
  • Ensure the USB drive or SD card is formatted correctly (FAT32 is generally recommended).
  • Confirm audio files are in supported MP3 (8-320 kbps) or WAV (8-48000 Hz) formats.
  • Try a different USB drive or SD card. Some non-standard or "fake" USB drives may have compatibility issues with the chip. It is recommended to use original, reputable USB flash drives.
  • Avoid DTS 5-6 channel WAV files, as they are not supported.
• Remote Control Not Working:
  • Check and replace batteries in the remote control.
  • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the IR receiver on the board.

8. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the board. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
• Storage: Store the board in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
