Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Yamaha YDP105R, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the piano. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water and a mild soap, then wipe dry immediately. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Key Care: Wipe the keys regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use chemical cleaners on the keys.
  • Environmental Conditions: Avoid exposing the piano to direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, or high humidity, as these can damage the instrument.
  • Dust Cover: When not in use, consider covering the piano with a dust cover to protect it from dust and debris.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Yamaha YDP105R, try the following basic troubleshooting steps:

  • No Sound: Check if the power is on and the volume is turned up. Ensure headphones are not plugged in if you expect sound from the speakers. Verify all cables (power, pedal) are securely connected.
  • Keys Not Responding: Ensure the piano is powered on. If only certain keys are affected, contact customer support.
  • Distorted Sound: Check the volume level; excessive volume can cause distortion. Ensure external speakers or headphones are properly connected and functioning.
  • App Connectivity Issues: Ensure your smart device is compatible with the Smart Pianist App and that the connection cable is correctly attached.

If the problem persists after trying these steps, please refer to the comprehensive troubleshooting section in the full owner's manual or contact Yamaha customer support.
