Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to set up your animal repellent for optimal performance.
1. Initial Charging
Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the device. While solar charging is efficient, an initial charge via the USB-C port ensures the battery is at full capacity.
- Locate the Type-C charging port on the back of the device.
- Connect the included USB cable to the device and a 5V 1A USB adapter (not included).
- The charge indicator light will be blue while charging. It will turn off when fully charged.
2. Assembly
- Attach the two mounting rods together by twisting them.
- Connect the assembled rod to the main unit of the repellent.
3. Placement
Choose a location that receives ample direct sunlight for the solar panel to charge effectively. The device is waterproof (IP44 rated) and designed to work in various weather conditions.

Figure 2: Example Installation in a Garden. This image shows the repellent installed in a garden setting, demonstrating its discreet appearance and effective coverage area. It also highlights various animals it can repel, such as mice, cats, dogs, squirrels, deer, raccoons, and mustelids.
- Ground Installation: Insert the pointed end of the mounting rod into the ground in the desired area. Ensure the device is stable and the PIR sensor faces the area you wish to protect.
- Hanging Installation: Use the hook hole on top of the device to hang it on a tree branch, fence, or wall. Ensure it is securely fastened.
- Coverage Area: The PIR sensor has a detection angle of 120 degrees and a range of up to 30 feet (9 meters), covering an area of approximately 157 square meters. Position the device to maximize coverage of the target area.

Figure 3: Detection and Repulsion Range. This image illustrates the 120-degree PIR sensor detection angle and the 180-degree dual ultrasonic speaker coverage. It also shows the effective range of up to 30 feet (9 meters) and a coverage area of 157 square meters, along with the bright flashing LED lights.
Operating Instructions
The repellent features 6 different operating modes, adjustable via the "Frequency and Flash" knob (left knob) and an "Audible Alarm Control" knob (right knob) on the back of the device.

Figure 4: Control Knobs and Mode Settings. This image details the two control knobs on the back of the device: "Frecuencia y Flasheo" (Frequency and Flash) on the left and "Control de Alarma Audible" (Audible Alarm Control) on the right. It also lists the 6 available modes and their corresponding frequency ranges and target animals.
Mode Selection (Frequency and Flash Knob)
Rotate the left knob to select the desired mode:
- Mode 1 (9 kHz ~ 20 kHz): Repels animals such as mice, rats, dogs, foxes, martens.
- Mode 2 (18 kHz ~ 27 kHz): Repels animals such as cats, raccoons, badgers, skunks.
- Mode 3 (25 kHz ~ 70 kHz): Repels animals such as bats, birds, rodents.
- Mode 4 (Strong Flashing Lights): Repels animals such as raccoon, boar, marten. This mode primarily uses the LED lights.
- Mode 5 (9 kHz ~ 30 kHz): Repels all animals with variable frequency and strong LED flashing.
- Mode 6 (9 kHz ~ 70 kHz): Repels all animals and birds with variable frequency and strong LED flashing. This mode covers the widest range.
Audible Alarm Control (Right Knob)
Rotate the right knob to turn the audible alarm on or off. The alarm provides an additional deterrent for some animals.
When the Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor detects motion, the device will activate according to the selected mode, emitting ultrasonic waves, flashing lights, and/or an audible alarm for approximately 30 seconds.
Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and effectiveness of your animal repellent, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Periodically wipe the solar panel and the PIR sensor window with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or debris. A clean solar panel ensures efficient charging.
- Placement Check: Regularly check that the device is securely installed and has not shifted due to wind or other environmental factors.
- Battery Life: The device includes a Lithium Ion battery. While solar charging is primary, if the device is in a shaded area or during prolonged cloudy periods, use the USB-C port to recharge it.
- Winter Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, especially during winter months, ensure it is fully charged before storage. Store in a cool, dry place.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your animal repellent, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Device not activating/no sound or light. | Low battery charge. PIR sensor obstructed or dirty. Device turned off. | Charge the device via USB-C or place in direct sunlight for several days. Clean the PIR sensor window. Ensure the device is in an active mode (not off). |
| Animals are not deterred. | Incorrect mode selected for target animal. Device placement is ineffective. Animals are accustomed to the sound. | Refer to "Operating Instructions" and select the appropriate mode. Adjust placement to ensure the PIR sensor covers the entry/activity area. Try switching modes or relocating the device. It may take 2-4 weeks to see significant results. |
| Charge indicator not working. | Insufficient sunlight. Solar panel is dirty. Battery issue. | Relocate to an area with more direct sunlight. Clean the solar panel. If problem persists after charging via USB-C, contact customer support. |
| Device falls over easily. | Improper ground installation. | Ensure the mounting rods are fully inserted into firm ground. Consider hanging if ground is too soft. |
