1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury.

• Do not immerse the appliance, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
• Ensure the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to your local mains voltage before connecting.
• Keep the appliance out of reach of children.
• Do not operate the appliance if the plug, mains cord, or the appliance itself is damaged.
• Always unplug the appliance after use and before cleaning.
• Allow the appliance to cool down completely before handling or cleaning.

3. Product Overview

The AEG AF5-1-4GB Air Fryer consists of the main unit, a removable drawer, and a frying basket.

• Main Unit: Houses the heating element, fan, and control panel.
• Control Panel: Features rotary knobs for temperature and time settings.
• Removable Drawer: The outer container that holds the frying basket.
• Frying Basket: The inner basket where food is placed for cooking. It is easily removable from the drawer for serving and cleaning.

4. Setup

1. Unpack the air fryer and all its components. Remove any packaging materials.
2. Clean the frying basket and drawer thoroughly with warm water and mild detergent. Rinse and dry completely.
3. Wipe the main unit with a damp cloth.
4. Place the air fryer on a stable, level, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is at least 10 cm of free space around the back and sides of the appliance for proper ventilation.
5. Insert the frying basket into the drawer until it clicks securely into place.
6. Slide the assembled drawer back into the main unit.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Operation

1. Plug the power cord into a grounded wall outlet.
2. Carefully pull the drawer out of the air fryer.
3. Place the ingredients into the frying basket. Do not exceed the MAX fill line.
4. Slide the drawer back into the air fryer.
5. Turn the temperature control knob to your desired temperature (80-200°C).
6. Turn the timer knob to the required cooking time (1-60 minutes). The air fryer will start heating immediately.
7. During cooking, the power indicator light will be on.
8. Some ingredients may require shaking halfway through the cooking time. To do this, pull out the drawer, shake the basket, and then slide it back in. The air fryer will resume cooking.
9. When the timer reaches zero, a signal tone will sound, indicating that cooking is complete.
10. Carefully pull out the drawer and remove the cooked food.

5.2 Cooking Tips

• For extra crispiness, lightly brush or spray a small amount of oil onto your food before cooking.
• Smaller ingredients usually require a shorter cooking time than larger ones.
• A larger amount of ingredients only requires a slightly longer cooking time.
• Pre-heating the air fryer for 3-5 minutes before adding food can improve cooking results.

5.3 Versatile Cooking Functions

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning will ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of your air fryer.

1. Always unplug the air fryer and allow it to cool down completely before cleaning.
2. The frying basket and drawer are dishwasher-safe. Alternatively, they can be cleaned with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge.
3. For stubborn residue, soak the basket and drawer in hot water with some dish soap for about 10 minutes.
4. Wipe the exterior of the air fryer with a damp cloth. Never use harsh abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
5. Clean the interior of the appliance with a non-abrasive sponge and warm water.
