Operating Instructions

Rapid Egg Cooker (DEC005BK)

Always use the provided Measuring Cup to add the correct amount of water to the Heating Plate. The water level determines the cooking consistency.

Hard, Medium, or Soft Boiled Eggs

  1. Fill the Measuring Cup with cold water to the desired line (Hard, Medium, or Soft). Pour the water onto the Heating Plate.
  2. Using the egg piercer on the bottom of the Measuring Cup, carefully pierce the large end of each egg. This prevents cracking during cooking.
  3. Place the Egg Tray onto the Main Unit. Place up to 6 pierced eggs, large-end up, into the indentations on the Egg Tray.
  4. Cover with the Lid.
  5. Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet. Press the Power Button. The indicator light will illuminate.
  6. When the water has evaporated and the eggs are cooked, the indicator light will turn off and the appliance will automatically shut off.
  7. Carefully remove the Lid and Egg Tray using oven mitts. Immediately rinse eggs under cold water or place in an ice bath to stop the cooking process and prevent a green ring around the yolk.

Poached Eggs or Omelets

  1. Fill the Measuring Cup with cold water to the "Poached" or "Omelet" line. Pour the water onto the Heating Plate.
  2. Lightly grease the Poaching Tray with cooking spray or butter.
  3. For Poached Eggs: Crack up to 2 eggs directly into the indentations of the Poaching Tray.
  4. For Omelets: Whisk up to 2 eggs with desired ingredients (cheese, vegetables, etc.) and pour into the Poaching Tray.
  5. Place the Poaching Tray onto the Main Unit.
  6. Cover with the Lid.
  7. Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet. Press the Power Button. The indicator light will illuminate.
  8. When the water has evaporated and the eggs are cooked, the indicator light will turn off and the appliance will automatically shut off.
  9. Carefully remove the Lid and Poaching Tray using oven mitts. Use a non-abrasive utensil to remove the cooked eggs/omelets.
