1. Mounting Options

The surge protector can be mounted on a standard DIN rail or directly to a flat surface using screws.

• DIN Rail Mounting: Align the top clip of the surge protector with the top edge of the DIN rail. Push the bottom of the unit firmly until it clicks into place.
• Surface Mounting: If DIN rail mounting is not desired, the mounting bracket can be removed. Use appropriate screws (not included) to secure the unit directly to a flat surface through the designated mounting tabs.

2. Grounding Connection

A secure earth ground connection is critical for the effective operation of the surge protector. Connect a grounding wire (not included) to the grounding terminal on the unit and to a reliable earth ground point.

• Locate the grounding terminal (typically marked with a ground symbol) on the surge protector.
• Connect one end of a suitable grounding wire to this terminal.
• Connect the other end of the grounding wire to a verified earth ground point. This could be a grounding bus bar, a dedicated ground rod, or the chassis of a grounded enclosure.
