The EMKE Flat Panel Towel Radiator operates as part of your central heating system. Once installed and connected to your hot water circuit, it will heat up when your central heating is active.
- Ensure your central heating system is functioning correctly.
- Open the valves connected to the radiator to allow hot water to circulate through the unit.
- The radiator will begin to heat, providing warmth to your bathroom and drying towels placed on its bars.
- For optimal towel drying, distribute towels evenly across the bars without overcrowding.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your towel radiator.
- Cleaning: Clean the radiator regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish.
- Bleeding: Periodically bleed the radiator to release any trapped air. This is typically done using the ventilation valve located on the top of the radiator. Trapped air can reduce heating efficiency.
- Leak Checks: Regularly inspect all connections for any signs of leaks. Address any leaks promptly to prevent water damage.
- System Pressure: Ensure your central heating system maintains the correct pressure as recommended by your heating system manufacturer.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your EMKE towel radiator, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Radiator not heating or only partially heating | Trapped air in the system | Bleed the radiator using the ventilation valve. |
| Valves are closed | Ensure both inlet and outlet valves are fully open. | |
| Low system pressure | Check your central heating system's pressure gauge and repressurize if necessary. | |
| Water leaking from connections | Loose connection or worn sealant | Tighten connections. If leaking persists, drain the system, reapply sealant tape, and re-tighten. |
| Radiator making noise (gurgling) | Air in the system | Bleed the radiator. |
If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact a qualified heating engineer or EMKE customer support.
