6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Locking and Unlocking
Insert one of the provided keys into the lock on the right door. Turn the key clockwise to lock the cabinet and counter-clockwise to unlock it. Ensure both doors are fully closed before locking. The magnetic stoppers will help keep the doors shut even when unlocked.
6.2. Adjusting Shelves
To adjust a shelf, first remove all items from the shelf. Carefully lift the shelf to disengage it from the shelf clasps. Reposition the shelf clasps into the desired holes on the side and back panels, ensuring they are level. Then, place the shelf back onto the clasps, making sure it is securely seated.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the cabinet surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the powder-coated finish.
- Inspection: Periodically check all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight. Tighten any loose fasteners as needed.
- Lubrication: If the door hinges or lock mechanism become stiff, apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant.
- Load Management: Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity of 180 pounds per shelf to prevent damage or injury. Distribute weight evenly.
8. Troubleshooting
- Doors not closing properly: Check if the cabinet is on a level surface. Ensure hinges are properly aligned and screws are tightened. Verify that nothing is obstructing the doors from closing fully.
- Shelves are wobbly: Ensure shelf clasps are fully inserted into the holes and the shelf is seated correctly on all four clasps. Check that the cabinet itself is stable and all assembly screws are tight.
- Lock mechanism is stiff: Apply a small amount of graphite powder or silicone spray lubricant to the keyhole and the locking mechanism.
