Setup

1. Locate the Vehicle's OBDII Port: The OBDII port is typically located under the dashboard on the driver's side of the vehicle. Refer to your vehicle's service manual if you cannot locate it.
2. Connect the Scanner: With the vehicle's ignition off, firmly plug the Code Buddy Pro's OBDII connector into the vehicle's OBDII port. Ensure a secure connection.

Operating Instructions

Once connected and powered on, the scanner will display the main diagnostic menu. Use the 'SCROLL' buttons to navigate through the options and 'ENTER' to select.

• Read Codes: Select this option to retrieve Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) stored in the vehicle's computer. This includes current, pending, and historic codes. The scanner will display the code and a brief description.
• Erase Codes: After addressing a vehicle issue, select this option to clear all DTCs from the vehicle's computer. Caution: Clearing codes without resolving the underlying issue will likely result in the codes reappearing.
• Live Data: This function allows you to view real-time sensor data from the vehicle's engine control unit (ECU). Data points may include engine RPM, vehicle speed, oxygen sensor readings, coolant temperature, and more. Use the 'SCROLL' buttons to view different data parameters.
