Setup

1. Battery Installation and Charging

The camera comes with an integrated Np-40 1500mAh rechargeable battery. Before first use, ensure the battery is fully charged.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the camera.
  2. Open the compartment cover.
  3. Connect the camera to a power source using the provided Type-C USB cable. The charging indicator will illuminate.
  4. Once fully charged, the indicator light will change or turn off. Disconnect the cable.

2. Memory Card Installation

A memory card (up to 128GB, Class 10 or higher recommended) is required to store photos and videos.

  1. Open the battery/memory card compartment cover.
  2. Insert the memory card into the designated slot with the contacts facing the correct direction (refer to the diagram inside the compartment if available) until it clicks into place.
  3. Close the compartment cover securely.
  4. Formatting the Memory Card: It is highly recommended to format a new memory card or an existing one before first use with this camera.
    • Turn on the camera.
    • Press the MENU button.
    • Navigate to the "Format" option in the settings menu.
    • Select "Yes" to confirm formatting. This will erase all data on the card.

Operating the Camera

1. Power On/Off

  • To turn on: Press and hold the Power Button until the screen illuminates.
  • To turn off: Press and hold the Power Button until the screen turns off.

2. Basic Photo and Video Capture

  • Switching Modes: Use the MODE/OK Button to switch between Photo mode and Video mode. The current mode will be displayed on the screen.
  • Taking Photos: In Photo mode, frame your shot using the display, then press the Photo Capture Button to take a picture.
  • Recording Videos: In Video mode, press the Video Capture Button to start recording. Press it again to stop recording.

3. Digital Zoom (16X)

Use the T/W Digital Zoom Slider to zoom in (T) or zoom out (W) on your subject. The camera features 16x digital zoom.

4. Menu Navigation and Settings

Press the MENU Button to access camera settings. Use the directional buttons (often integrated with other function buttons like ISO, EV, Flash) to navigate through options and the MODE/OK Button to select.

  • ISO: Adjusts light sensitivity (Auto, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, 3200, 6400).
  • White Balance: Adjusts color temperature (Auto, Sunny, Cloudy, Incandescent, Fluorescent).
  • Exposure Compensation (EV): Adjusts brightness (-3 to +3).
  • Flash Modes: Auto, On, Off.
  • Scene Modes: The camera offers 8 scene modes for various shooting conditions.
  • Timed Photos: Set a delay for photo capture (2s, 5s, 10s).
  • Auto Screensaver: Sets the time before the screen turns off (30s, 1min, 2min, 10min).
  • Auto Power Off: Sets the time before the camera automatically shuts down (3min, 5min, 10min).
  • Voice: Enable or disable camera sounds.
  • Date Mark: Enable or disable date stamping on photos/videos.

5. Playback Mode

Press the Playback Button (DISP) to review your captured photos and videos. Use the directional buttons to navigate through your media. Press the Delete Button to remove unwanted files.

6. Webcam Function

The camera supports PC camera functionality. Connect the camera to your computer via the Type-C USB cable. Select "PC CAM" mode on the camera when prompted. This allows the camera to be used for live streaming or video calls on social media platforms.

Maintenance

Cleaning

  • Camera Body: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and then dry thoroughly.
