The NV008SP2-LRF features a robust aluminum body, 1080p resolution for both day and night viewing, and integrated infrared (IR) illumination. It can be used as a handheld monocular or mounted on a rifle using the included rails.

4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment.
- Insert one 18650 Lithium Ion battery, ensuring correct polarity.
- Securely close the battery compartment.
4.2 Mounting (Optional)
The NV008SP2-LRF can be mounted on a rifle using the provided rails. Follow the instructions specific to your rifle's mounting system to ensure a secure attachment.
- Attach the appropriate mounting rail to the device.
- Secure the device to your rifle's rail system.
- Ensure all screws are tightened to prevent movement during use.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off
Press and hold the power button to turn the device on or off.
5.2 Day and Night Mode
The device automatically switches between day (color) and night (black and white) modes based on ambient light conditions. Manual switching may also be available via the menu.

5.3 Focusing
Adjust the focus ring on the objective lens to achieve a clear image. Use the smart focusing lever for fine adjustments. The device has a focusing range from 3cm to infinity.
5.4 Magnification Adjustment
Use the magnification controls to adjust the zoom level between 6.5x and 13x.
5.5 IR Illuminator Operation
Activate the integrated 940nm IR illuminator for enhanced visibility in low-light or complete darkness. Adjust the IR power as needed. The IR lighting distance is up to 350 meters.
5.6 Laser Rangefinder (LRF)
To measure distance, activate the LRF function. Aim the reticle at the target and press the LRF button. The distance will be displayed on the screen, up to 1200 meters.
5.7 Ballistic Calculator
Access the ballistic calculator through the device menu. Input relevant data such as range, angle to target, temperature, and humidity to assist in calculating precise aiming points. Multiple profiles can be saved for different ammunition or rifle setups.
5.8 Picture-in-Picture (PIP) Mode
Enable PIP mode from the menu to display a magnified view of the central target area within a smaller window on the main screen, allowing for detailed observation while maintaining situational awareness.
5.9 One-Shot Zero
For sighting-in, fire a shot at a target. Without moving the device, navigate to the One-Shot Zero function in the menu and adjust the reticle to align with the point of impact. Save the settings.
5.10 Video Recording
The device supports MP4 video recording at 1920x1080 resolution and 30 fps. Insert a Micro SD card (not included) into the designated slot to store recordings.
- Manual Recording: Press the record button to start and stop video recording.
- Recoil Activated Video (RAV): Enable RAV in the settings. The device will continuously buffer video and automatically save a clip when recoil is detected.
5.11 Wi-Fi Connectivity
The device supports Wi-Fi for data transmission. Refer to the device's on-screen menu for instructions on connecting to a Wi-Fi network and accessing features like live view or file transfer via a compatible application.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the exterior of the device.
- For lenses, use a specialized lens cleaning cloth and solution. Avoid abrasive materials.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents.
6.2 Storage
- Store the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Remove the battery if storing for extended periods to prevent leakage.
- Keep the lens cap on to protect the objective lens.
7. Troubleshooting
- Device does not power on:
- Ensure the battery is correctly installed and fully charged.
- Check battery contacts for corrosion.
- Image is blurry:
- Adjust the focus ring on the objective lens.
- Clean the objective and eyepiece lenses.
- IR illuminator not working:
- Ensure the IR illuminator is enabled in the settings.
- Check battery level.
- Cannot record video:
- Verify that a Micro SD card is inserted.
- Check if the SD card has sufficient free space.
- Ensure the SD card is formatted correctly (refer to device menu).
