3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

The remote control requires two (2) 1.5V AAA batteries (not included). Follow these steps to install the batteries:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
2. Press down on the tab and slide the battery cover downwards to open it.
3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
4. Slide the battery cover back into place until it clicks securely.

3.2 Initial Use

4. Operating Instructions

Point the remote control directly at your LG Soundbar to operate. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the soundbar.

4.1 Button Functions

• Power Button (⏻): Turns the soundbar on or off.
• VOL + / -: Adjusts the main volume level of the soundbar.
• Mute Button (🔇): Mutes or unmutes the sound.
• F (Function): Cycles through input sources (e.g., Optical, Bluetooth, HDMI ARC).
• STANDARD: Activates the standard sound effect mode.
• VOICE: Activates the voice enhancement sound effect mode.
• CINEMA: Activates the cinema sound effect mode.
• DRC ON / OFF: Toggles Dynamic Range Control on or off. DRC compresses the dynamic range of audio, making quiet sounds louder and loud sounds quieter, useful for late-night listening.
• WOOFER LEVEL + / -: Adjusts the bass level of the connected subwoofer.
• AUTO POWER ON / OFF: Toggles the auto power function, which allows the soundbar to turn on or off automatically with a connected device.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when the remote control's response becomes sluggish or stops working. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new 1.5V AAA batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.

5.2 Cleaning

To clean the remote control, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as these can damage the remote's surface or internal components.

• Remote not working:
  • Check if the batteries are inserted correctly with the correct polarity (+/-).

• Intermittent response:
