Setup Instructions

  1. Placement: Position the FiltoSmart 100 filter horizontally next to your aquarium. It is important to note that placing the filter below the aquarium may reduce its output performance.
  2. Hose Connection: Connect the intake and output hoses to the designated ports on the filter head. Ensure all connections are tight and secure to prevent leaks.
  3. Aquarium Connections: Install the intake and output pipes within your aquarium. The intake pipe should be positioned to draw water effectively, and the output pipe to return filtered water, creating adequate circulation.
  4. Priming: Before connecting to power, prime the filter by filling it with water. Follow the specific priming instructions provided in the detailed manual (not fully available here, but generally involves opening valves and allowing water to flow in by gravity or using a priming button if available).
  5. Power Connection: Once the filter is primed and all connections are secure, connect the power plug to an electrical outlet.
