4. Assembly Instructions
Assembly is required for the CHILDHOME Tipi Baby Crib. It is recommended that two adults assemble the crib to ensure stability and ease of construction. Please follow these steps carefully:
- Unpack and Identify Parts: Lay out all components on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches. Compare with the "Package Contents" list to ensure all parts are present.
- Assemble Tipi Frame:
- Connect the four Tipi Frame Legs using the provided hardware, forming the A-frame structure. Ensure the pre-drilled holes for the crib attachment are facing inwards.
- Attach the Top Hanging Bar between the two A-frames at the designated points. This bar provides structural integrity and can be used for hanging mobiles (ensure mobile is out of reach of child).
- Attach Crib End Panels: Securely fasten the two Crib End Panels to the lower section of the Tipi Frame Legs using the appropriate hardware. Ensure they are flush and stable.
- Install Crib Side Panels: Attach the two Crib Side Panels between the Crib End Panels. Make sure the slats are facing outwards and all connections are tight.
- Insert Crib Base: Carefully slide the Crib Base/Mattress Support into the designated grooves or supports within the assembled crib structure. Ensure it lies flat and is securely supported.
- Final Check: Double-check all screws, bolts, and connections to ensure they are tight and secure. Do not overtighten. The crib should be stable and free from wobbling.

5. Operating Instructions (Crib Mode)
The CHILDHOME Tipi Baby Crib is designed for safe and comfortable use by infants. Follow these guidelines for optimal operation:
- Mattress Placement: Place a compatible mattress (M905B or M905HSS) securely on the crib base. Ensure there are no gaps larger than two fingers between the mattress and the crib sides.
- Child Age and Weight Limit: This crib is suitable for infants from birth up to approximately 6 months of age, or until the child begins to push up on hands and knees, or weighs more than 9 kg (20 lbs), whichever comes first. Discontinue use as a crib when your child reaches these milestones.
- Supervision: Always supervise your child when they are in the crib.
- Environment: Place the crib in a safe, stable location away from direct sunlight, heat sources, windows, and cords.

6. Conversion to Shelf Unit
One of the unique features of the CHILDHOME Tipi Baby Crib is its ability to transform into a stylish and functional shelf unit once your child no longer needs a crib. This conversion extends the product's lifespan and utility.
Conversion Steps:
- Remove Crib Components: Carefully disassemble and remove the Crib Side Panels, Crib End Panels, and Crib Base/Mattress Support from the Tipi Frame. Store these components safely if you wish to convert it back to a crib in the future.
- Install Shelf Boards: The crib's slatted side panels are designed to be repurposed as shelves. Attach these panels horizontally to the Tipi Frame Legs at desired heights using the designated hardware points. Ensure they are level and securely fastened.
- Secure All Connections: Double-check all connections to ensure the shelf unit is stable and capable of holding items.
The converted shelf unit can be used for storing books, toys, decorative items, or clothing, making it a versatile addition to any room.

7. Care and Maintenance
Proper care and maintenance will ensure the longevity and safety of your CHILDHOME Tipi Baby Crib.
- Cleaning: Wipe down the wooden surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn marks, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by wiping with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the wood finish.
- Fabric Care: If any fabric components are included (e.g., mattress cover, if purchased separately), follow their specific care instructions. The general instruction "Lavage à la main seulement" (Hand wash only) applies to such fabric items.
- Regular Inspection: Periodically check all screws, bolts, and connections to ensure they remain tight. Tighten any loose hardware immediately.
- Storage: If storing the crib, ensure it is clean and dry. Store in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures and humidity to prevent warping or damage to the wood.
