2. Setup and Battery Installation
Battery Installation:
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
- Use the provided screwdriver to open the battery cover.
- Insert two 1.5V AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the battery cover and secure it with the screwdriver.

- ON/OFF Button: Powers the device on or off.
- HOLD / Tilt% Button: Short press to hold the current reading. Long press to switch between angle (degrees) and slope (percentage) display units.
- ZERO Button: Sets the current surface as the relative zero point. Also activates/deactivates backlight with a short press.
- Magnetic Base: Located on the bottom for secure attachment to metal surfaces.
3. Operating Instructions
Power On/Off:
Press the ON/OFF button to turn the device on. Press it again to turn it off. The device will automatically power off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery life.
Absolute Measurement:
Place the angle gauge on a horizontal reference surface. The display will show the absolute angle relative to true horizontal (0.00°).
Relative Measurement (ZERO Function):
- Place the angle gauge on the desired reference surface.
- Press the ZERO button. The display will reset to 0.00°, indicating that this surface is now the relative zero.
- Move the gauge to measure the angle of another surface relative to your set zero.
- To exit relative measurement mode, press the ZERO button again.
HOLD Function:
To freeze the current measurement on the display, short press the HOLD / Tilt% button. The "HOLD" indicator will appear on the screen. Press the button again to release the hold and resume live measurement.
Unit Conversion (Degrees/Slope):
Long press the HOLD / Tilt% button to switch the display unit between degrees (°) and slope percentage (%).

Backlight Control:
Short press the ZERO button to toggle the backlight on or off. The backlight improves visibility in low-light conditions.

Automatic Display Inversion:
When the device is inverted, the display automatically rotates to ensure the numbers are always upright and readable.

4. Maintenance
