Product Components

Parent Unit

The parent unit features a 5-inch LCD screen for clear video monitoring. It includes controls for pan, tilt, zoom, two-way talk, and menu navigation.

Installation and Setup

Connecting the Baby Unit

1. Place the baby unit in a location that provides a clear view of your baby, but at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) away from the crib.
2. Plug the small end of the baby unit power adapter into the power jack on the back of the baby unit.
3. Plug the large end of the power adapter into a wall outlet. The baby unit will power on automatically.

Connecting the Parent Unit

1. Plug the small end of the parent unit power adapter into the power jack on the side of the parent unit.
2. Plug the large end of the power adapter into a wall outlet.
3. Charge the parent unit battery for at least 12 hours before initial use. A fully charged battery provides up to 17 hours of video streaming or 31 hours in audio-only mode.

The VTech VM924 offers extended battery life: up to 31 hours in audio-only mode and 17 hours in screen-on mode.

Mounting the Baby Unit (Optional)

The baby unit can be wall-mounted using the included bracket and screws. Ensure the mounting location is secure and provides an optimal viewing angle.

Operating the Monitor

Power On/Off

• To power on the parent unit, press and hold the POWER button.
• To power off the parent unit, press and hold the POWER button again.
• The baby unit powers on automatically when connected to power.

Screen Display Icons

The parent unit screen displays various icons indicating status, such as signal strength, battery level, temperature, and active features.

Pan, Tilt, and Zoom

Use the navigation buttons on the parent unit to remotely adjust the camera's view:

• Press UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT to pan (360 degrees horizontally) and tilt (132 degrees vertically) the camera.
• Press the ZOOM button to digitally zoom in (up to 2x) on the image.

The baby unit camera offers a 360-degree panoramic view, 132-degree tilt, and 2x digital zoom, controllable from the parent unit.

Two-Way Talk

To speak to your baby through the baby unit's speaker:

1. Press and hold the TALK button on the parent unit.
2. Speak clearly into the microphone on the parent unit.
3. Release the TALK button to hear your baby again.

The two-way talk feature allows you to communicate with your baby from the parent unit.

Night Vision

The baby unit automatically activates infrared night vision in low-light conditions, providing a clear black-and-white image on the parent unit.

Night vision provides clear monitoring in dark environments, complemented by soothing sounds.

Soothing Sounds and Lullabies

The baby unit can play five calming melodies and four soft ambient sounds to help soothe your baby. Access these options through the parent unit's menu.

Temperature Monitoring
