Product Overview

The TOPDON JS3000 is a powerful and versatile 12V 3000A peak battery booster and portable power bank. Designed for a wide range of vehicles, it can jump-start engines up to 9.0L Gas and 7.0L Diesel. Beyond jump-starting, it features multiple charging ports for electronic devices and a bright LED flashlight for emergencies.

Setup and Charging

Before first use, fully charge your JS3000 unit. The device features a Type-C PD45W bi-directional charging port for rapid charging.

Charging the JS3000:

1. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the Type-C PD45W port on the JS3000.
2. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to the QC18W Adapter.
3. Plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
4. The power indicator lights on the JS3000 will illuminate to show charging progress. A full charge can be achieved in approximately 2 hours.

Operating Instructions: Jump Starting Your Vehicle

The JS3000 is designed for safe and efficient jump-starting of 12V lead-acid batteries.

1. Connect Clamps: Connect the red (+) clamp to the positive terminal of your vehicle's battery and the black (-) clamp to the negative terminal.
2. Check Indicator Light:
   • If the indicator light is solid green, the battery voltage is normal. You can proceed to start the vehicle.
   • If the light doesn't turn on (battery voltage is too low to be detected), press and hold the BOOST button for approximately 3 seconds until it lights up. This activates forced output mode.
3. Start Vehicle: Start your car engine within 30 seconds. If using forced output mode, this disables all safety protections temporarily, so only use this mode when the vehicle battery is extremely low.
4. Disconnect Clamps: Once the vehicle starts, disconnect the clamps from the battery terminals.

Maintenance and Storage

• Keep the JS3000 charged, ideally above 50%, to prolong battery life.
• Store the unit in its EVA carrying case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Clean the clamps and unit with a dry cloth after each use.

Troubleshooting

Unit Not Turning On / Not Detecting Battery:

• Ensure the unit is sufficiently charged. Check the power indicator lights.
• If the vehicle battery is extremely low (below 2V), the JS3000 may not automatically detect it. Use the BOOST function by pressing and holding the BOOST button for 3 seconds until the indicator light turns green. This activates forced output mode.
• Verify that the clamps are securely connected to the correct battery terminals (red to positive, black to negative).

Vehicle Not Starting After Boost:

• Ensure you attempt to start the vehicle within 30 seconds of activating the BOOST function.
• Check for any other underlying issues with the vehicle's battery or starting system. The jump starter provides power, but cannot fix mechanical problems.
• Allow the JS3000 to cool down if it has been used multiple times in quick succession, as overheating can trigger safety protections.
