Setup

Charging the Trimmer

Before first use, fully charge the trimmer. The built-in lithium-ion battery provides up to 90 minutes of run time on a full charge, which takes approximately 1.5 hours.

  1. Connect the USB charging cable to the charging port on the trimmer.
  2. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a 5V USB power source (e.g., laptop, USB wall adapter, power bank, car charger).
  3. The LED display on the trimmer will show the battery percentage, indicating the charging status.
  4. Once the display shows 100%, the trimmer is fully charged. Disconnect the cable.

Attaching and Detaching Trimmer Heads

Ensure the trimmer is turned off before changing heads.

  1. To attach a head: Align the desired trimmer head with the main unit and gently push it down until it clicks into place.
  2. To detach a head: Hold the main unit firmly and gently pull the trimmer head upwards to remove it.

Attaching and Detaching Guide Combs

Guide combs are used with the Full-Size Trimmer Head and Precision Trimmer Head to control hair length.

  • For the Full-Size Trimmer: Select one of the 5 fixed combs (1mm, 3mm, 6mm, 9mm, 12mm). Slide the comb onto the trimmer head until it securely locks.
  • For the Precision Trimmer: Use the adjustable comb (1/2/3/4mm). Slide it onto the precision trimmer head and adjust the length setting as needed.
  • To remove a comb: Gently pull it away from the trimmer head.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off and Speed Modes

  • To turn on: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds.
  • To switch speed modes: Briefly press the power button. The trimmer has two speed modes: 7300 RPM for daily use and 8800 RPM for thicker hair.
  • To turn off: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds. The travel lock feature prevents accidental activation.

Grooming Applications

Select the appropriate trimmer head and comb for your desired grooming task:

  • Beard and Hair Trimming: Use the Full-Size Trimmer Head with the desired guide comb (1mm, 3mm, 6mm, 9mm, or 12mm) for even trimming. For detailing, use the Precision Trimmer Head with its adjustable comb.
  • Body Hair Trimming: Attach the Body Hair Trimmer Head for efficient and comfortable trimming of body hair.
  • Nose and Ear Hair Trimming: Use the Nose & Ear Trimmer Head for safe and precise removal of unwanted hair in these sensitive areas.
  • Shaving and Detailing: The Micro Shaver Head provides a close shave for small areas. The Design Trimmer Head is ideal for creating sharp lines and intricate designs.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Trimmer

The Brightup trimmer is IPX7 waterproof, allowing for easy cleaning.

  1. After each use, turn off the trimmer and detach the trimmer head.
  2. Rinse the trimmer head and the main unit (excluding the charging base) under running water.
  3. Use the included cleaning brush to remove any trapped hairs from the blades and inside the heads.
  4. Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling or storing.

Lubricating the Blades

Regular lubrication ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of the blades.

  1. After cleaning and drying, apply a small drop of the included lubricating oil to the blades of the trimmer head.
  2. Turn on the trimmer for a few seconds to distribute the oil evenly.
  3. Wipe off any excess oil with a soft cloth.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
