Amysen Smart Plug (Model 1) Instruction Manual

Your guide to setting up and using your Amysen Smart Plug.

1. Introduction

The Amysen Smart Plug (Model 1) allows you to control your home appliances remotely using a smartphone app or voice commands. This device connects to your existing 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, enabling smart features such as scheduling, timers, and group control. This manual provides detailed instructions for setup, operation, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and safety.

2. Safety Information

Please read and follow all safety instructions carefully before using the Amysen Smart Plug. Failure to do so may result in electric shock, fire, or other hazards.

  • Indoor Use Only: This device is designed for indoor use in dry locations. Do not expose to water, moisture, or high humidity.
  • Electrical Rating: Do not exceed the maximum load current of 10 Amps or 240 Volts. Overloading the plug can cause overheating and fire.
  • Grounding: Ensure the wall outlet is properly grounded. The smart plug features a Type B plug with three prongs for safety.
  • Cleaning: Disconnect the smart plug from the power outlet before cleaning. Use a dry cloth; do not use liquid cleaners.
  • Children: Keep out of reach of children.
  • Disassembly: Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the device. This will void the warranty and may cause damage or injury.
  • Wi-Fi Compatibility: This smart plug only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks. It is not compatible with 5GHz Wi-Fi.

4. Product Overview

The Amysen Smart Plug is a compact device designed to fit standard wall outlets. It features a power button and an indicator light for status feedback.

5. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your Amysen Smart Plug and connect it to your Wi-Fi network.

Step 1: Download the App

Download the "Cloud Intelligence" app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. You can also scan the QR code provided in the quick start guide.

Step 2: Plug In and Enter Pairing Mode

Plug the Amysen Smart Plug into a wall outlet. The indicator light should start blinking rapidly. If it does not, press and hold the power button on the side of the plug for 5 seconds until the indicator light blinks rapidly (approximately 3 times per second).

Step 3: Add Device in App

Open the "Cloud Intelligence" app, log in or create an account. Tap the "+" icon at the top-right corner to add a new device. Select "Electrical Outlet" or "Smart Plug" from the device list. Confirm that the indicator light is blinking rapidly in the app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect the plug to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.

Note: Ensure your smartphone is connected to the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network during the setup process.

6. Operating Instructions

Once your Amysen Smart Plug is successfully set up, you can utilize its various smart features.

6.1. Voice Control

The Amysen Smart Plug is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home Assistant. Link your "Cloud Intelligence" account to your voice assistant app (Alexa or Google Home). Once linked, you can control connected devices with simple voice commands.

  • Example for Alexa: "Alexa, turn on the living room lamp."
  • Example for Google Home: "Hey Google, turn off the kitchen light."

6.2. App Remote Control

Control your connected devices from anywhere using the "Cloud Intelligence" app on your smartphone. You can turn devices on/off, check their status, and monitor energy usage (if supported by the app).

6.3. Schedule & Timer Functions

Set custom schedules and timers for your devices within the "Cloud Intelligence" app. This allows for automated on/off cycles, helping to save energy and simplify your daily routines.

  • Timers: Set a countdown timer for a device to turn off after a set duration.

6.4. Group Control & Sharing

Organize multiple smart plugs into groups within the app for simultaneous control. You can also share control of your devices with family members, allowing everyone in the household to manage smart appliances.

  • Group Control: Create a group (e.g., "Living Room Lights") to control all plugs in that group with a single tap or voice command.
  • Device Sharing: Invite family members to control your smart devices through their own "Cloud Intelligence" app accounts.

7. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and proper functioning of your Amysen Smart Plug, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Disconnect the smart plug from the power outlet before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals.
  • Storage: If storing the smart plug for an extended period, unplug it from the wall and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the plug for any signs of damage, such as cracks, frayed wires, or loose connections. If any damage is found, discontinue use immediately and contact customer support.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Amysen Smart Plug, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

Problem: Smart Plug is not turning on/off.

  • Solution 1: Check if the smart plug is securely plugged into the wall outlet.
  • Solution 2: Ensure the connected appliance is properly plugged into the smart plug and is powered on.
  • Solution 3: Verify that the smart plug has power by checking the indicator light. If it's off, try a different outlet.
  • Solution 4: Check the app to ensure the device is online and the commands are being sent correctly.

Problem: Cannot connect to Wi-Fi.

  • Solution 1: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The smart plug does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
  • Solution 2: Make sure your smartphone is connected to the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network during setup.
  • Solution 3: Check your Wi-Fi password for accuracy.
  • Solution 4: Move the smart plug closer to your Wi-Fi router to improve signal strength.
  • Solution 5: Reset the smart plug by holding the power button for 5 seconds until the indicator light blinks rapidly, then try pairing again.
  • Solution 6: Restart your Wi-Fi router.

Problem: Voice control is not working.

  • Solution 1: Ensure your "Cloud Intelligence" account is correctly linked to your Amazon Alexa or Google Home app.
  • Solution 2: Verify that the device name in the voice assistant app matches the name in the "Cloud Intelligence" app.
  • Solution 3: Check your internet connection.
  • Solution 4: Try re-discovering devices in your Alexa or Google Home app.
