4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Wire Connection

Connect the SP611E controller to your addressable LED strip and power supply according to the diagram below. Ensure the output voltage of your LED strip and power supply are consistent. For example, if using a 5V LED strip, a DC5V power supply must be used.

Important: The LED strip and power supply are not included with this controller.

4.2 Mobile Application Download

To utilize the full features of the SP611E controller, download the "BanlanX" application. You can find it by searching "Scenex" in the App Store (for iOS 10.0 or later) or Google Play (for Android 4.4 or later), or by scanning the QR code provided in the product documentation.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Mobile Application Control (BanlanX App)

After downloading and installing the "BanlanX" app:

  1. Open the app and click the + icon in the upper right corner of the homepage to add devices by scanning. You can also create groups for multiple added devices.
  2. Click on an individual device in the device list to access its control page.
  3. To control all devices in a group simultaneously, click on the group in the device list.
  4. Modify the device name and calibrate the RGB channel sequence by clicking the gear icon in the upper right corner of the operation page.
  5. Set up to 5 timing events by clicking the clock icon in the upper right corner. Note: All timing events will be deleted if the controller loses power.
  6. The effects page offers 142 dynamic effects and many static color effects. Adjust speed, brightness, and effect length as needed.
  7. For more detailed information and help, click the question mark icon in the top right corner of the app.

5.2 IR Remote Control Functions

The included 38-key IR remote control provides quick access to various functions:

  • ON/OFF: Power on/off the LED lights.
  • R, G, B, W: Select Red, Green, Blue, or White static colors.
  • 16 Static Colors: Direct selection of 16 preset static colors.
  • Rainbow, Meteor, Stars, Fire: Activate specific dynamic effects.
  • MODE+, MODE-: Cycle through dynamic effects.
  • Favorite+, Favorite-: Cycle through saved favorite effects.
  • All Auto: Automatic cycling through all effects.
  • Speed+, Speed-: Adjust the speed of dynamic effects.
  • Bright+, Bright-: Adjust the brightness of effects.
  • Length+, Length-: Adjust the length of certain effects.
  • Music Mode+, Music Mode-: Cycle through music synchronization effects.
  • Music Auto: Automatic cycling through music effects.
  • Change Color: Cycles through color changes.

5.3 Controller Button Functions

The SP611E controller itself has three buttons for basic operation:

  • On/Off Button (Power Symbol): Turns the LED light on or off.
  • Mode Button (M): Switches between different lighting effects.
  • Speed Button (S): Adjusts the speed of non-music effects.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your SP611E LED controller, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the controller. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Environment: Keep the controller in a dry environment and away from direct sunlight, high temperatures, and excessive humidity.
  • Power: Always ensure the power supply voltage matches the controller's requirements (DC5V-24V) and the LED strip's voltage.
  • Connections: Periodically check all wire connections to ensure they are secure and free from damage.

7. Troubleshooting

  • LED Strip Not Lighting Up:
    • Check all wire connections to ensure they are secure.
    • Verify that the power supply is correctly connected and providing the correct voltage (DC5V-24V) and that its voltage matches the LED strip's voltage.
    • Ensure the LED strip itself is functional.
    • Confirm the controller is powered on via the app, remote, or physical button.
  • IR Remote Control Not Responding:
    • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the controller's IR receiver.
    • Check if the remote control's battery needs replacement.
    • Point the remote directly at the controller.
  • Mobile App Cannot Connect to Controller:
    • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
    • Make sure the controller is powered on and within Bluetooth range.
    • Restart the "BanlanX" app.
    • Try restarting your mobile device.
    • Check if the app has necessary permissions (e.g., location, Bluetooth) enabled in your phone's settings.
  • Timing Events Are Lost:
    • This is expected behavior. All timing events are deleted when the controller is powered down. Re-enter timing events after power cycling.
