5. Advanced Features and Expansion
5.1 Signal Range Extension with Repeater
The receiver unit has a theoretical open-air reception range of approximately 500 meters. Indoors, this range is typically 50-100 meters, depending on obstacles. To extend the signal range, especially in large or multi-floor environments, a FLYDOG repeater can be added to the system.

5.2 System Expandability
The FLYDOG system is highly expandable. You can add more receiver main units, call button units, or even wrist-worn call receivers to customize the system for your specific needs. The system supports up to 400 individual call button units.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Battery Replacement (Call Buttons)
The call buttons use 12V batteries. When the signal strength weakens or the button stops responding, it's time to replace the battery. Refer to Image 3.3 for instructions on opening the call button and replacing the battery.
6.2 Cleaning
The call buttons have an IPX56 waterproof rating, meaning they are protected against dust and high-pressure water jets. They can be wiped with a damp cloth. However, they are not fully submersible; do not immerse them in water. The receiver units should be cleaned with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
7. Troubleshooting
- No Signal/Short Range:
- Ensure the receiver antenna is securely connected.
- Check call button batteries.
- Minimize physical obstructions (thick walls, metal structures) between call buttons and receivers.
- Consider adding a FLYDOG repeater to extend the signal range.
- Receiver Not Displaying Numbers:
- Verify the receiver is powered on and connected correctly.
- Check if call button batteries are functional.
- Ensure the call button is within the receiver's range.
- No Sound from Receiver:
- Check the volume setting (ensure it's not set to 0/mute).
- If using an external speaker, ensure it's properly connected and powered.
- Remote Control Not Working:
- Ensure the remote control batteries are functional.
- Point the remote directly at the receiver unit.
