Safety Instructions

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the grinder from its packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
  2. Mounting:

    The grinder is designed to be mounted on a flat workbench or table using its integrated clamp.

    • Place the grinder on the edge of your workbench.
    • Tighten the clamping screw firmly until the grinder is stable and does not wobble.

  3. Grinding Stone Installation (if not pre-installed):

    This model does not include a grinding stone. You will need to purchase a compatible 4-inch grinding stone separately.

    • Unscrew the nut and remove the washers from the grinding spindle.
    • Place the selected 4-inch grinding stone onto the spindle, ensuring it sits flush against the inner washer.
    • Re-attach the outer washer and tighten the nut securely. Do not overtighten.

Operating Instructions

    • Ensure the grinder is securely mounted.
    • Verify the grinding stone is properly installed and free of damage.
    • Put on safety glasses and gloves.
  2. Sharpening/Polishing:

    • Hold the item to be sharpened or polished firmly.
    • Begin rotating the handle clockwise to spin the grinding stone.
    • Gently bring the item into contact with the rotating grinding stone at the desired angle.
    • Apply light, consistent pressure. Avoid pressing too hard, as this can damage the stone or the item.
    • Move the item evenly across the surface of the stone to ensure uniform sharpening or polishing.
    • Continue until the desired sharpness or finish is achieved.

  3. Finishing:
    • Once finished, slowly stop rotating the handle.
    • Carefully remove the sharpened/polished item.
