3. Setup
- Connect the Keyboard: Plug the USB-C end of the provided cable into the port on the back of the keyboard. Connect the USB-A end to an available USB port on your computer.
- Initial Recognition: Your operating system should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers for the keyboard. This process may take a few moments.
- Verify Functionality: Once connected, the keyboard's RGB lighting should illuminate. Test key presses to ensure proper operation.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Key Features
- Optical Mechanical Switches: The keyboard utilizes ultrafast optical mechanical switches for rapid response times, beneficial for gaming.

5. Hot-Swappable Components
The PWNAGE Ultra Custom Gaming Keyboard allows for toolless customization of keycaps, switches, and the top cover plate.
5.1 Swapping Keycaps
- Gently attach the keycap puller tool to the keycap you wish to remove.
- Pull upwards with steady, even pressure until the keycap detaches from the switch stem.
- Align the new keycap with the switch stem and press down firmly until it clicks into place.
5.2 Swapping Switches
Ensure the keycap is removed before attempting to swap switches.
- Use the switch puller tool to grasp the top and bottom clips of the switch.
- Apply gentle pressure to compress the clips and pull the switch upwards to remove it from the PCB.
- Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB. Ensure the switch is oriented correctly.
- Press down firmly until the switch clicks into place. Do not force the switch if it does not seat easily; check pin alignment.

5.3 Changing the Top Cover Plate
The top cover plate is held by magnets and can be removed without tools.
- Gently lift the edges of the top cover plate to detach it.
- Align the new top cover plate with the keyboard base and allow the magnets to secure it in place.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning Keycaps: Remove keycaps using the provided tool. Clean with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Ensure keycaps are completely dry before reattaching.
- Cleaning the Keyboard Base: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the keyboard base. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, ensuring no liquid enters the switches or electronics.
- Dust Removal: Use compressed air to remove dust and debris from between keycaps and switches.
- Cable Care: Avoid sharp bends or excessive pulling on the USB-C cable to prevent damage.
7. Troubleshooting
- Keyboard Not Responding:
- Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer.
- Try connecting the keyboard to a different USB port on your computer.
- Test the keyboard on another computer to rule out a system-specific issue.
- RGB Lighting Not Working/Incorrect:
- Check the keyboard's lighting control key combinations (e.g., Fn + F keys) to ensure lighting is not turned off or set to a dim mode.
- Ensure no third-party software is interfering with the keyboard's lighting controls.
- Specific Keys Not Working:
- Remove the keycap and switch for the non-functional key. Inspect the switch pins for bends or damage.
