1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your Dell OptiPlex 5060 desktop computer. 2. What's in the Box

Verify that all components are present upon unboxing:

3. Setup

3.1 Physical Placement

Place the Dell OptiPlex 5060 on a stable, flat surface with adequate ventilation. Ensure that air vents are not obstructed to prevent overheating.

3.2 Connecting Peripherals

  1. Connect Monitor: Use a DisplayPort or HDMI cable to connect your monitor to the corresponding port on the back of the computer.
  2. Connect Keyboard and Mouse: Plug your USB keyboard and mouse into any available USB ports on the front or back of the computer.

3.3 Initial Power On

Press the power button on the front of the computer. The system will boot into Windows 11. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial setup, including language, region, and user account creation.

4. Operating the Computer

4.1 Windows 11 Professional

Your Dell OptiPlex 5060 comes with Windows 11 Professional pre-installed. Familiarize yourself with the Windows 11 interface, Start Menu, and taskbar. Regular updates are recommended for security and performance.

4.2 Connectivity

  • WiFi: Connect to wireless networks through the Windows 11 network settings.
  • Bluetooth: Pair Bluetooth devices such as headphones, speakers, or input devices via Windows 11 Bluetooth settings.

  • No Power: Ensure all power cables are securely connected to the computer and the power outlet. Test the outlet with another device.
  • No Display: Check monitor power and cable connections. Ensure the correct input source is selected on your monitor.
  • Slow Performance: Close unnecessary applications, check for background processes, and ensure sufficient free space on the SSD. Consider running a disk cleanup.
  • Connectivity Issues: For WiFi, restart your router and computer. For wired connections, check the Ethernet cable and router status.
