1. Important Safety Information

Please read and understand all instructions before assembling and using your Joovy Kooper RS2 Double Stroller. Failure to follow these instructions could result in serious injury or death to your child.

• ALWAYS secure your child with the harness system.
• NEVER leave children unattended in the stroller.
• ALWAYS engage the parking brake when placing or removing children from the stroller.
• DO NOT overload the stroller. Adhere to the maximum weight recommendations for children and storage.
• ENSURE all locking mechanisms are engaged before use.
• AVOID placing hot liquids or heavy items on the handlebar.
• BE AWARE of potential pinching hazards when folding or unfolding the stroller. Keep children clear of moving parts.
• DO NOT use the stroller on stairs or escalators.
• THIS STROLLER IS NOT suitable for car seat compatibility.

3. Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to set up your Joovy Kooper RS2 Double Stroller:

1. Unpack the Stroller: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
2. Unfold the Stroller: Place the stroller on a flat surface. Release the folding latch and lift the handlebar until the frame locks into place. Ensure all frame locks are securely engaged.
3. Attach Snack Trays: Align the snack trays with the designated slots on the front of each seat. Press firmly until they click into place.
4. Adjust Canopies: Extend the canopies over each seat as desired. The canopies are extendable for maximum sun protection.

4. Operating the Stroller

4.1 Securing Your Child

To ensure your child's safety, always use the 5-point harness system:

1. Place your child in the seat.
2. Bring the shoulder straps over your child's shoulders and the waist straps around their waist.
3. Connect the magnetic buckles until they click securely.
4. Adjust the straps for a snug fit, ensuring your child cannot slip out.

4.2 Adjusting Seat Recline and Footrest

Each seat can be independently reclined and its footrest adjusted:

• Seat Recline: Locate the recline mechanism behind each seat. Squeeze the lever and adjust the seat to the desired position.
• Footrest Adjustment: Press the buttons on either side of the footrest and move it up or down to the desired height.

4.3 Engaging the Brake

The stroller features a one-step linked brake system:

• To engage the brake, press down firmly on the brake pedal located near the rear wheels.
• To release the brake, lift the pedal upwards.
• Always ensure the brake is fully engaged when the stroller is stationary.

4.4 Folding the Stroller

The Kooper RS2 features a super easy one-handed fold with a standing auto-lock:

1. Ensure both canopies are retracted and seats are in an upright position.
2. Locate the folding mechanism on the handlebar.
3. Activate the mechanism and push the handlebar forward and down until the stroller folds compactly and the auto-lock engages.
4. The stroller will stand independently when folded.

4.5 Using Storage

Utilize the available storage options:

• Storage Basket: The large basket under the seats can hold up to 22 pounds.
• Zippered Pockets: Two zippered pockets are located on the back of the canopies for smaller items like phones, keys, or pacifiers.

5. Maintenance and Care

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safety of your stroller:

• Cleaning Fabric: The seat material is made from recycled fabric. Spot clean with mild soap and warm water. Do not use bleach or harsh detergents. Allow to air dry completely.
• Cleaning Frame: Wipe the aluminum frame with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
• Wheel Maintenance: Regularly check wheels for debris and clean as needed. Lubricate moving parts with a silicone-based lubricant if they become stiff.
• Storage: Store the stroller in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading and material degradation.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Joovy Kooper RS2, refer to the following common solutions:

• Stroller not unfolding/folding smoothly: Check for any obstructions in the folding mechanism. Ensure all fabric is clear of moving parts. Apply a silicone lubricant to hinges if necessary.
• Wheels not turning freely: Inspect wheels for trapped debris (e.g., hair, dirt). Clean thoroughly. Ensure the brake is not partially engaged.
