4.3 Pairing Receivers

The collar set is typically pre-paired by factory setting. If you only use one collar, you may skip this step. To pair new receivers or re-pair existing ones:

  1. Ensure the remote's channel button is set to 'Channel 1' for the first receiver.
  2. Press and hold the power button on the receiver for 3 seconds until the indicator light flashes.
  3. On the remote, simultaneously press both the 'Beep Button' and 'Vibration Button'. The receiver will beep and vibrate, indicating successful pairing.
  4. Repeat steps 1-3 for the second receiver, ensuring the remote's channel button is set to 'Channel 2'.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Training Modes

The PATPET P-collar 301S offers three distinct training modes:

  • Beep Mode: Delivers an audible tone. Often used as a warning or for positive reinforcement.
  • Vibration Mode: Provides a gentle vibration. Useful for gaining your dog's attention without static stimulation.
  • Static Stimulation Mode: Delivers a static pulse with 16 adjustable levels. Use the lowest effective level for your dog.

5.2 Switching Between Dogs

With two receivers, you can easily switch between training Dog 1 and Dog 2 using the channel button on the side of the remote. The remote's display will indicate which channel (1 or 2) is currently active.

5.3 Adjusting Static Levels

The static stimulation level can be adjusted from 1 to 16. Start at the lowest level and gradually increase it until your dog responds with a slight twitch or change in behavior, indicating they feel the stimulation without distress.

6. Fitting the Collar

Proper fit is crucial for the effectiveness and safety of the training collar.

  1. Take the collar strap out of the tri-glides buckle.
  2. Measure your dog's neck size.
  3. After adjusting to the right size, thread the collar strap through the tri-glides buckle and then fasten it.
  4. The receiver should be positioned on the underside of your dog's neck, with the contact points touching the skin.
  5. Verification Standard: When wearing, you should be able to put two fingers just under the collar of the neck. The fit should be snug but not overly tight.
  6. Cut off any extra strap with scissors to avoid it being bitten by the dog.
