This device is designed to provide reliable timekeeping, alarm functions, FM radio entertainment, and convenient USB charging. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the unit to ensure proper use and to maximize its features.

2. Product Features

  • USB Charging Port: Conveniently charge your smartphone or other USB-powered devices directly from the clock.

4. Controls and Display

The Coby CCR103 features an intuitive layout of buttons on the top panel and a large red LED display on the front.

Top Panel Buttons:

  • MEM/CLK: Memory/Clock button. Used to set time and save radio presets.
  • HOUR: Adjusts the hour during time/alarm setting.
  • MIN: Adjusts the minute during time/alarm setting.
  • TUN- / TUN+: Tune down/up for FM radio.
  • SCAN/SLP: Scan for FM radio stations / Set sleep timer.
  • 12/24H: Toggle between 12-hour and 24-hour time format.
  • ALM1 / ALM2: Set Alarm 1 / Set Alarm 2.
  • VOL- / VOL+: Adjust volume down/up.
  • ON/OFF: Power on/off for radio.
  • SNOOZE/DIMMER: Snooze active alarm / Adjust display brightness.

Front Display:

  • Large Red LED Digits: Displays current time, alarm settings, and radio frequency.
  • PM Indicator: Lights up when time is PM in 12-hour format.
  • FM Indicator: Lights up when FM radio is active.
  • SLP Indicator: Lights up when sleep timer is active.
  • ALM1 / ALM2 Indicators: Light up when respective alarms are set.
  • zZ Indicator: Lights up when snooze is active.

5. Setup

5.1 Power Connection

  1. Insert the DC plug of the supplied AC power adapter into the DC IN jack on the back of the unit.
  2. Plug the AC power adapter into a standard household outlet (AC 100-240V, 50/60Hz).
  3. The clock display will light up, indicating power is connected.

Connect the power adapter to the DC IN port on the back of the unit.

5.2 Battery Backup Installation

For battery backup, install 2 AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit. Ensure correct polarity (+/-). The battery backup maintains time and alarm settings during a power outage but does not power the display or alarm functions.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Setting the Time

  1. Press and hold the MEM/CLK button until the hour digits flash.
  2. Press the HOUR button repeatedly to set the hour. Observe the PM indicator for correct AM/PM setting in 12-hour format.
  3. Press the MIN button repeatedly to set the minute.
  4. Press MEM/CLK again to confirm and save the time.
  5. To switch between 12-hour and 24-hour format, press the 12/24H button while the time is displayed.

6.2 Setting Alarms (ALM1 / ALM2)

  1. Press and hold the ALM1 (or ALM2) button until the hour digits flash.
  2. Press the HOUR button to set the alarm hour.
  3. Press the MIN button to set the alarm minute.
  4. Press ALM1 (or ALM2) again to confirm the alarm time. The corresponding ALM indicator will light up.
  5. To activate/deactivate an alarm, press the ALM1 (or ALM2) button briefly. The ALM indicator will turn on/off.

6.3 Snooze Function

When an alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE/DIMMER button to temporarily silence the alarm for approximately 9 minutes. The alarm will sound again after the snooze period. To turn off the alarm completely, press the corresponding ALM1 or ALM2 button, or the ON/OFF button.

6.4 FM Radio Operation

  1. Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the FM radio. The FM indicator will light up.
  2. Use the TUN- or TUN+ buttons to manually tune to a desired frequency.
  3. Press and hold SCAN/SLP to automatically scan and save available stations to presets.
  4. Use the VOL- or VOL+ buttons to adjust the volume.
  5. To turn off the radio, press the ON/OFF button again.

6.5 Dimmer Function

Press the SNOOZE/DIMMER button repeatedly to cycle through the display brightness levels (High, Medium, Low, Off). Select the brightness that is most comfortable for your environment.

6.6 USB Charging Port

Connect your USB charging cable (not included) to the USB Type-A port on the back of the alarm clock. Connect the other end of the cable to your device to begin charging. This port is designed for charging and does not support data transfer.

7. Maintenance

  • Clean the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Keep the unit away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture.
  • If the unit will not be used for an extended period, disconnect it from the power outlet and remove the backup batteries.

8. Troubleshooting
