Setup

  1. Connect the ACT AC6370 card reader to an available USB port on your computer. For optimal performance, use a USB 3.0 or higher port.

Operating Instructions

Inserting Memory Cards

SD/SDHC/SDXC/MMC: Insert the card into the slot labeled "SDHC/SDMMC" with the contacts facing down.
Micro SD: Insert the card into the slot labeled "Micro SD" with the contacts facing down.
CompactFlash (CF): Insert the card into the slot labeled "CF" with the correct orientation, ensuring pins align.
Memory Stick (MS/MS Duo/MS Pro): Insert the card into the slot labeled "MS Duo / MS / MS Pro" with the contacts facing down.
XD Card: Insert the card into the slot labeled "XD card" with the contacts facing down.

Accessing Data

Once a memory card is inserted and the reader is connected to your computer, it will appear as a removable drive. You can then access, copy, move, or delete files as you would with any other storage device.

Ejecting Memory Cards

Always safely eject the removable drive from your operating system before physically removing the memory card or disconnecting the card reader to prevent data corruption.

Maintenance

  • Keep the card reader clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures or moisture.
  • Do not force memory cards into slots; ensure correct orientation to prevent damage to the card or reader.

Troubleshooting

Problem: Card reader not recognized by computer.
Solution: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected. Try a different USB port or a different computer to rule out port issues. Verify that your operating system drivers are up to date (usually automatic).
Problem: Memory card not detected.
Solution: Ensure the memory card is fully and correctly inserted into the appropriate slot. Try the card in another device to confirm it is functional. Check if the card is locked (some SD cards have a physical lock switch).
Problem: Slow transfer speeds.
