3. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the safe and efficient operation of your solar system. Please follow these steps carefully.

  1. Connect the Battery: Connect the positive and negative terminals of the battery to the corresponding battery terminals on the solar controller. The controller will automatically detect the battery voltage (12V or 24V).
  2. Connect the Solar Panel: Connect the positive and negative terminals of the solar panel to the corresponding solar panel terminals on the controller.
  3. Connect the DC Load (Optional): Connect the positive and negative terminals of your DC load to the corresponding load terminals on the controller.

Important: Always ensure correct polarity when making connections. Incorrect polarity can damage the controller and other components.

  4. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to change the value.
  5. Press and hold the MENU button again to save the changes and exit the setting mode.

The controller will remember user-set parameters even after battery depletion, eliminating the need for frequent resets.

The two USB ports provide 5V 2.5A (maximum) output for charging compatible electronic devices. These ports are active when the controller is powered.
