- Unpacking: Carefully remove the ice maker from its packaging. Remove all packing materials, including any tape or protective film.
- Placement: Place the ice maker on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources (e.g., oven, refrigerator). Ensure there is at least 4 inches (10 cm) of space around the unit for proper ventilation.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean the interior of the ice maker. Refer to the "Maintenance and Cleaning" section for detailed instructions.
- Power Connection: Plug the power adapter into a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage matches the appliance's requirements (120V, 60Hz).
- Allow to Settle: If the unit has been tilted or inverted during transport, allow it to stand upright for at least 2-4 hours before plugging it in. This allows the refrigerant to settle.
6. Operating Instructions
- Add Water: Open the top cover and remove the ice basket. Fill the water reservoir with potable water up to the "MAX" fill line. Do not overfill.
- Power On: Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the ice maker.
- Select Ice Size: Use the SELECT button (if available, otherwise assume default or automatic) to choose between small or large ice cube sizes. The indicator light will show the selected size.
- Ice Making Cycle: The ice maker will begin its first cycle. The first few batches of ice may be smaller or irregular due to the system adjusting to temperature. Discard the first 2-3 batches.
