5. Operating Instructions
Once installed and connected to your hot water central heating system, the EMKE radiator will provide efficient heat. The open design allows for comfortable hanging and quick drying of towels.
- System Activation: Ensure your central heating system is operational and the radiator valve is open.
- Bleeding the Radiator: After initial installation or if the radiator feels cold at the top, it may need bleeding to release trapped air. Use a radiator key to slowly open the bleed valve until water starts to emerge, then close it.
- Temperature Control: Adjust the room temperature using your central heating thermostat or the radiator valve.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your EMKE radiator.
- Cleaning: Clean the radiator regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the powder coating.
- Inspecting for Leaks: Periodically check all connections for any signs of leaks. Tighten connections if necessary, but do not overtighten.
- Bleeding: If you notice cold spots on the radiator or reduced heating efficiency, bleed the radiator as described in the operating instructions.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your EMKE radiator, consider the following common solutions:
- Radiator not heating:
- Check if the central heating system is on and functioning correctly.
- Ensure the radiator valve is fully open.
- Bleed the radiator to release trapped air.
- Radiator heating unevenly (cold at top):
- This usually indicates trapped air. Bleed the radiator.
- Leaking connections:
- Turn off the heating system and allow the radiator to cool.
- Carefully tighten the leaking connection. If the leak persists, consult a qualified plumber.
