Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your coffee maker.

  1. Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Carafe and Carafe Lid: Wash in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly. The carafe is not dishwasher safe.
  3. Reusable Filter and Funnel: Remove from the coffee maker and rinse under running water. Use a soft brush if necessary to remove any coffee grounds. These parts can be washed in warm, soapy water.
  4. Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  5. Warming Plate: Wipe with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  6. Descaling: Depending on water hardness, mineral deposits may build up in your coffee maker. To descale, fill the water tank with a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:2 ratio). Run a brewing cycle. After the cycle, let the mixture sit in the carafe for 15 minutes, then discard. Run 2-3 cycles with clean water to rinse thoroughly.
