Setup
Before First Use:
- Unpack the coffee maker and remove all packaging materials.
- Clean all detachable parts (carafe, carafe lid, reusable filter, and funnel) in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth.
- For initial cleaning, fill the water tank to the MAX level with clean water. Run a brewing cycle without coffee grounds. Discard the water and repeat this process 2-3 times to remove any manufacturing residues.
Operating Instructions
Setting the Clock:
- Plug the coffee maker into a power outlet. The display will show '12:00'.
- Press the 'HOUR' button to set the current hour.
- Press the 'MINUTE' button to set the current minute.
- The clock is now set.
Brewing Coffee:
- Open the top lid and fill the water tank with fresh, cold water up to the desired level using the water gauge. Do not exceed the MAX line.
- Place the reusable filter into the funnel. Add the desired amount of ground coffee into the filter. A general guideline is one level scoop (provided) per cup.
- Close the top lid securely.
- Ensure the carafe is placed correctly on the warming plate.
- Press the 'ON/OFF' button to start brewing. The indicator light will illuminate.
- The coffee maker will automatically stop brewing once the water tank is empty.
Brew Strength Setting:
- Before pressing 'ON/OFF', press the 'STRENGTH' button to cycle through available brew strength options (e.g., Regular, Bold). The selected strength will be indicated on the display or by an indicator light.
Delay Brew Function:
- Prepare the coffee maker with water and coffee grounds as described in 'Brewing Coffee'.
- Press the 'PROGRAM' button. The display will flash.
- Use the 'HOUR' and 'MINUTE' buttons to set the desired delayed start time.
- Press the 'DELAY BREW' button to activate the delay brew function. The indicator light will illuminate. The coffee maker will start brewing at the programmed time.
30-Second Anti-Drip Function:
- This feature allows you to temporarily remove the carafe during the brewing cycle to pour a cup of coffee. The brewing process will pause for approximately 30 seconds.
- Return the carafe to the warming plate within 30 seconds to prevent overflow.
Auto Shut-Off and Keep Warm Function:
- After brewing, the warming plate will automatically keep the coffee warm for 120 minutes (2 hours).
- The coffee maker will automatically shut off after 120 minutes for safety and energy saving.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your coffee maker.
- Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Carafe and Carafe Lid: Wash in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly. The carafe is not dishwasher safe.
- Reusable Filter and Funnel: Remove from the coffee maker and rinse under running water. Use a soft brush if necessary to remove any coffee grounds. These parts can be washed in warm, soapy water.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Warming Plate: Wipe with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Descaling: Depending on water hardness, mineral deposits may build up in your coffee maker. To descale, fill the water tank with a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:2 ratio). Run a brewing cycle. After the cycle, let the mixture sit in the carafe for 15 minutes, then discard. Run 2-3 cycles with clean water to rinse thoroughly.
Troubleshooting
