6. Operating Instructions
Understanding how to operate your helmet's features will enhance your riding experience.
6.1. Modular Function
To lift the front section of the helmet (chin bar and outer visor), locate the flip-up button, typically at the center front of the chin bar. Press this button and lift the chin bar upwards until it locks into the open position. To close, press the button again and push the chin bar down until it securely latches.
6.2. Visor Operation
- Clear Outer Visor: The clear outer visor can be opened and closed manually. It has multiple detent positions to allow for partial opening.
- Internal Tinted Visor: To deploy the internal tinted visor, locate the slider mechanism on the side of the helmet (usually on the left). Slide it down to lower the tinted visor and up to retract it.
6.3. Ventilation System
The helmet features adjustable ventilation ports:
- Top Vent: Slide the control on the top of the helmet to open or close the top vent, regulating airflow over the scalp.
- Front/Chin Vent: Adjust the slider on the chin bar to control airflow to the face and to help prevent visor fogging.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures your helmet remains in optimal condition and extends its lifespan.
7.1. Cleaning the Shell
Clean the helmet's exterior with a soft cloth, warm water, and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the shell material and protective coatings.
7.2. Cleaning the Visors
The clear outer visor and internal tinted visor should be cleaned with warm water and a soft microfiber cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a helmet-specific visor cleaner. Do not use abrasive materials or strong cleaning agents that could scratch or damage the anti-fog/anti-scratch coatings.
7.3. Cleaning the Inner Lining
The inner lining is removable and washable:
- Carefully detach the inner lining components (cheek pads, crown liner) from the helmet shell. Refer to Image 5.1 for component locations.
- Hand wash the lining in cool water with a mild detergent.
- Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before re-installing. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
7.4. Storage
Store your helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use a helmet bag to protect it from scratches and dust.
8. Troubleshooting
Here are solutions to common issues you might encounter:
- Visor Fogging: Ensure the front/chin vent is open. If fogging persists, consider using an anti-fog spray or a Pinlock insert (if compatible and available).
- Helmet Feels Too Tight/Loose: Refer to the sizing guide (Section 4). A new helmet may feel tight initially but should conform to your head over time. If it remains uncomfortably tight or too loose, it may be the wrong size.
- Chin Strap Not Securing: Ensure the quick-release buckle is fully engaged. Inspect the buckle for any debris or damage that might prevent proper latching.
- Excessive Noise: Ensure all vents are closed if you prefer less airflow and noise. Check that the visor is fully closed and sealed.
