Safety Instructions

The tool is designed to use 18 gauge brad nails from 5/8" to 1-1/4" (15-32mm) and 1/4" crown staples from 5/8" to 1" (15-25mm).

Setup

1. Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the 20V 2.0Ah Lithium-ion battery.

  1. Connect the charger to a standard power outlet.
  2. Slide the battery pack onto the charger until it clicks into place.
  3. Allow the battery to charge until the charger's indicator light shows a full charge.
  4. Once charged, remove the battery from the charger.

2. Installing the Battery

Align the battery pack with the battery slot on the tool handle and slide it in until it locks securely. Ensure it is fully seated.

3. Loading Fasteners (Nails or Staples)

The tool features a quick-release loading magazine for easy fastener installation.

  1. Open Magazine: Squeeze the magazine latch (refer to Figure 1) and slide the magazine out until it fully extends.
  2. Load Staples: If using staples, place them into the magazine with the sharp points facing upwards.
  3. Load Nails: If using brad nails, place them into the left side of the magazine with the sharp points facing upwards.
  4. Close Magazine: Push the magazine back into the tool until it clicks and locks into position. Ensure it is securely closed.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off

The tool is ready for use once the battery is installed. There is no separate power switch; the tool activates when the safety nose pin is depressed and the trigger is pulled.

2. Adjusting Fastener Depth

The Force Adjustment Dial (refer to Figure 1) allows you to control the depth at which fasteners are driven into the material.

  • Turn the dial clockwise to increase driving depth (for harder materials or deeper countersink).
  • Turn the dial counter-clockwise to decrease driving depth (for softer materials or flush finish).
  • Always test on a scrap piece of material to find the optimal depth setting before working on your main project.

3. Firing Fasteners

  1. Position the Tool: Place the safety nose pin firmly against the workpiece where you want to drive the fastener. The safety nose pin must be fully depressed.
  2. Activate Worklight: If working in dark spaces, press the LED Worklight Switch (refer to Figure 1) to illuminate the work area.
  3. Pull Trigger: While maintaining firm pressure on the tool against the workpiece, pull the On/Off Trigger (refer to Figure 1) to drive a fastener.
  4. Release Trigger: Release the trigger after each fastener is driven.

The tool is capable of delivering up to 2000 shots on a full charge, depending on material and fastener type. The LED Battery Indicator (refer to Figure 1) will show the remaining battery life.

  • Battery Care: Store the battery in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not store fully discharged for extended periods.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the tool and battery in a secure, dry location out of reach of children.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, refer to the following common problems and solutions.

Magazine not closing or coming off.
  • Obstruction in magazine track.
  • Magazine latch not engaging.
  • Remove battery, inspect and clear any debris from the magazine and its track.
  • Ensure the magazine is pushed in completely until the latch clicks.
Tool fires multiple fasteners.
  • Fastener jam or incorrect fastener loading.
  • Remove battery, clear any jammed fasteners. Reload fasteners correctly, ensuring they are aligned.
