Model: GCFY18

Introduction

Thank you for choosing the MOPUP Automatic Motion-Sensor Bathroom Trash Can. This product is designed to provide a hygienic and convenient waste disposal solution for your home. Featuring a touchless motion sensor and durable stainless steel construction, it is ideal for bathrooms, bedrooms, and dormitories. Please read this manual carefully before use to ensure proper operation and maintenance.

Safety Information

  • Do not immerse the electronic components of the trash can in water. While designed for bathroom use, direct submersion can cause damage.
  • Keep the sensor area clean and unobstructed to ensure proper function.
  • Use only the specified battery type and ensure correct polarity during installation.
  • Do not force the lid open or closed manually, as this may damage the automatic mechanism.
  • Keep out of reach of small children and pets to prevent accidental injury or damage to the unit.
  • Dispose of batteries responsibly according to local regulations.

Setup

1. Battery Installation

Locate the battery compartment, typically on the underside of the lid or at the back of the unit. Insert the required batteries (e.g., AA or AAA, check product specifications for exact type) ensuring correct positive (+) and negative (-) polarity. Close the battery compartment securely.

Operating Instructions

1. Automatic Lid Opening (Motion Sensor)

The trash can features a smart motion sensor for hands-free operation. Simply wave your hand or approach the sensor area (usually located on the top front of the lid) within approximately 10-15 cm. The lid will automatically open in about 0.3 seconds. It will remain open for a few seconds (typically 5-7 seconds) before closing automatically. This ensures a hygienic disposal experience.

2. Knee Induction Opening

For added convenience, the trash can also supports knee induction. Gently bring your knee close to the lower front sensor area. The lid will open automatically, allowing for hands-free disposal without needing to bend down.

3. Manual Opening (If Applicable)

In case of battery depletion or if manual operation is preferred, some models may feature a manual open/close button or a mechanism to lift the lid. Refer to the specific design of your unit. Avoid forcing the lid if it's an automatic-only model.

4. Changing the Trash Bag

To change the trash bag, open the lid (either automatically or manually). Remove the inner ring or frame that holds the bag in place. Lift out the full bag, dispose of it, and insert a new trash bag. Secure the new bag by placing the inner ring/frame back into position, ensuring the bag edges are neatly tucked. Close the lid.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning the Unit

The MOPUP trash can is made of stainless steel and features sealed electronics, making it suitable for damp environments. To clean, wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth and a mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish or electronic components. Do not rinse the lid directly under water. For the interior, wipe with a damp cloth as needed.
