4. Setup
4.1. Battery Installation
The Dario Blood Pressure Monitor Gen2 operates on 4 AAA batteries, which are included. To install the batteries:
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the monitor.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert the 4 AAA batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
The device is now ready for use. The monitor does not require an A/C adapter.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Preparing for Measurement
For accurate readings, follow these guidelines before taking a measurement:
- Avoid showering, exercising, smoking, and consuming caffeine for at least 30 minutes before testing.
- Rest quietly for 5 minutes before taking a measurement.
- Do not talk during the measurement process.
- Sit upright in a chair with your back supported and your feet flat on the floor.
- Ensure your arm is supported so that your elbow is approximately at heart level.

5.2. Applying the Arm Cuff
The adjustable arm cuff (8.75-16.5 inches) is designed for comfortable and accurate fit. Follow these steps:
- Step 1: Put on the cuff with your palm facing up. The cuff should be 0.8 - 1.2 inches (2-3 cm) above the elbow joint.
- Step 2: Wrap the end of the cuff over your arm to secure it in place. Do not make it too tight.
- Step 3: Place your arm on a table with your palm facing up.
- Step 4: Make sure the cuff is at the same height as your heart.
- Step 5: Sit up straight and rest your feet flat on the ground.

5.3. Taking a Measurement
Once the cuff is correctly applied and you are in the proper position:
- Press the START / STOP button on the monitor.
- The cuff will automatically inflate. Remain still and silent during inflation and measurement.
- Once the measurement is complete, the cuff will deflate, and your systolic blood pressure (SYS), diastolic blood pressure (DIA), and pulse rate (PUL) will be displayed on the LCD screen.
- The monitor will automatically save the reading.

5.4. Irregular Heartbeat (IHB) Detection
The Dario Blood Pressure Monitor Gen2 is equipped with an Irregular Heartbeat (IHB) detection feature. If an irregular heartbeat is detected during the measurement, a corresponding symbol will appear on the display. This device does not replace a cardiac examination but serves to detect pulse irregularities at an early stage. If this symbol appears frequently, consult your physician.
6. Smart Features and App Connectivity
6.1. Bluetooth Connectivity and Dario App
The monitor features Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to synchronize your readings with the Dario App on your smartphone or tablet. This enables comprehensive tracking and management of your blood pressure data.
- Download the Dario App from your device's app store.
- Follow the in-app instructions to pair your Dario Blood Pressure Monitor Gen2 via Bluetooth.

- Unlimited Readings: The Dario App allows for unlimited storage of your blood pressure readings, providing a comprehensive history.
- Trend Tracking: Visualize your blood pressure trends over various periods (e.g., 7, 30, 90 days) within the app.
- Share with Doctor: Easily share your blood pressure logbook with your healthcare provider or loved ones directly from the app via email, in various formats like PDF or CSV.

6.3. Dual User Mode
The device supports a Dual User Mode, allowing two individuals to store their measurements separately on the device itself. The app, however, is typically linked to a single user account for personalized tracking.
- To switch between users on the device, press the 'M' button (Memory button) and then the arrow keys to select User 1 or User 2.
- Each user's readings will be stored independently, up to 400 records per user.

7. Memory Function
The Dario Blood Pressure Monitor Gen2 can store up to 400 memory records directly on the device, complete with dates and times. This allows you to review your past measurements even without the app.
- To access stored readings, press the M button.
- Use the arrow buttons to navigate through previous measurements.
8. Maintenance
8.1. Cleaning
- Clean the monitor and cuff with a soft, dry cloth.
