Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your InBody 970 BCA for first use.

1. Unboxing and Placement

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Place the InBody 970 on a flat, stable, and non-conductive surface. Ensure there is sufficient space around the device for safe operation and user movement.

2. Power Connection

Connect the power adapter to the designated port on the InBody 970 and then plug it into a standard electrical outlet. Use only the power adapter supplied with the device.

3. Initial Power On

Press the power button, usually located on the side or back of the display unit. The device will perform a self-check and display the main operating screen.

Operating Instructions

The InBody 970 is designed for intuitive operation via its touchscreen interface.

1. Preparing for a Measurement

• Ensure the subject has not eaten or exercised vigorously for at least 2-3 hours prior.
• The subject should remove shoes, socks, and any heavy clothing or metallic objects.
• Wipe the foot electrodes on the platform and hand electrodes on the handles with an InBody tissue or a clean, damp cloth to ensure good conductivity.

2. Performing a Test

1. On the touchscreen, select "Start Test" or the equivalent option.
2. Enter the subject's height, age, and gender as prompted.
3. Instruct the subject to step onto the platform, placing their bare feet on the designated foot electrodes.
4. Have the subject grasp the hand electrodes firmly, ensuring their thumbs are on the oval electrodes and their arms are straight, not touching their body.
5. Instruct the subject to remain still and silent during the measurement, which typically takes less than 60 seconds.

3. Reviewing Results

Once the test is complete, the results will be displayed on the screen. The InBody 970 provides a detailed report sheet that can be printed or saved. This report includes:
