1. Introduction
The ACPOTEL Golf Rangefinder (Model PF2L) is a precision optical instrument designed for accurate distance measurement in various outdoor activities, primarily golf. It features advanced functions such as slope compensation, flag-lock with vibration, and a magnetic strip for convenient attachment. This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper use, care, and maintenance of your device.
2. Safety Information
- Laser Safety: This device uses an invisible Class 1 laser. Do not stare directly into the laser beam or aim it at others' eyes. Direct exposure to the laser beam may cause eye damage.
- Battery Safety: The device contains a built-in lithium battery. Do not attempt to disassemble, puncture, or expose the battery to extreme temperatures or fire. Use only the provided Type-C charging cable.
- Water Resistance: The rangefinder has an IP54 water resistance rating, meaning it is protected from dust and splashing water from any direction. It is not designed for submersion. Avoid exposing the device to heavy rain or prolonged water contact.
- Handling: Handle the device with care. Avoid dropping or subjecting it to strong impacts, which could damage internal components.

5. Setup
5.1 Charging the Battery
The ACPOTEL Rangefinder comes with a built-in rechargeable lithium battery. Before first use, fully charge the device.
- Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the rangefinder's charging port.
- Connect the other end of the cable to a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
- The charging indicator will show the charging status. Once fully charged, the indicator will change (refer to device display for specific indication).
5.2 Power On/Off
- To Power On: Press the Power/Measurement button once. The display will activate.
- To Power Off: The device will automatically power off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery.
5.3 Switching Measurement Units (Yards/Meters/Feet)
To switch between yards (Yd), meters (m), and feet (ft):
- Ensure the device is powered on.
- Press the Mode (M) button once to cycle through modes.
- After cycling, press and hold the Mode (M) button for approximately 2 seconds to toggle the measurement unit (Yd/m/ft). Release the button when the desired unit is displayed.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Standard Distance Measurement
- Look through the eyepiece and aim the reticle at your desired target.
- Press the Power/Measurement button once. The distance to the target will be displayed instantly.
6.2 Slope Compensation Mode
This mode provides a slope-adjusted distance, which is useful for golf to account for uphill or downhill shots. The slope switch is located on the side of the device.
- To Activate/Deactivate: Slide the 'SLOPE' switch to the ON or OFF position as needed. When ON, the device will calculate and display the compensated distance in addition to the linear distance.

6.3 Flag-Lock Technology with Vibration
This feature helps to lock onto the flagstick, even with background objects present, and confirms the lock with a vibration.
- Aim the reticle at the flagstick.
- Press and hold the Power/Measurement button. Slowly scan across the flagstick.
- The device will identify the closest object (the flagstick) and vibrate briefly to confirm the lock. The distance to the flag will then be displayed.

6.4 Scanning Mode
For continuous measurement of multiple targets or moving objects:
- Press and hold the Power/Measurement button.
- Scan across the desired area or follow a moving target. The display will update with continuous distance readings.
6.5 Magnetic Strip
The integrated magnetic strip allows for convenient attachment of the rangefinder to metal surfaces, such as a golf cart frame or club. This provides easy access during play.

7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning the Lenses
To maintain optical clarity, regularly clean the lenses:
- Use the provided lens cleaning cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth.
- Gently wipe the lens surfaces to remove dust or smudges.
- Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals, which can scratch or damage the lens coatings.
7.2 Storage
When not in use, store the rangefinder in its protective case to prevent damage from dust, moisture, and impacts. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
